I saw some comments online of people wanting Rowan Atkinson.

He's a notoriously shy and miserable person so it would be a terrible idea.

I kinda think the team they have minus Eddie Jordan although im still not sure about Sabine. Chris and Rory seem to be nice and fresh (fresh sounds abit wrong but you what i mean)

Catch up with the latest episode and it was a good episode. Matt's sandwich and he always loved sandwich in Friends.

For what its worth, my 2 cents: keep Matt, Rory and Chris, make them the new 3 if you can, get rid of Eddie, keep Sabine for the odd "special" appearance, bring back the news segment, its not a car show without news and instead of star in a car use them in specials like they did with Seasick Steve, Tinie Tempah and Charlene Spiteri. Also, for the Stig bits get an actual motor racing commentator to talk about the lap, could make it a decent segment.

For this to work they need individuals that have good rapport with each other, or are already friends; this is particularly true when they do their big travel episodes. It was never really about the cars. That format has since been spun off into other BBC shows to great success - see "Three Men in a Boat" and "Three Men Go to..." (Dara Ó Briain, Rory McGrath and Griff Rhys Jones) and "Dara and Ed's Great Big Adventure" (Dara Ó Briain and Ed Byrne take a road trip along the Pan American Highway).

Agreed.

Chris Harris is great. He actually seems natural, too. Get him in the studio all the time.

I actually really like Matt le Blanc, but his studio segments are awful. He deserves another chance, and perhaps if he really doesn't like Evans, that'd explain it. Rory is ok, but I do find myself disagreeing with a lot of the stuff he says.

Channel 4 also did it with Sean Lock and Jon Richardson when they sent them both to America together. Sky 1 have also jumped on the bandwagon with Micky Flanagan's Detour De France, A League Of Their Own US Road Trip and Flintoff: Lord of the Fries (Freddie Flintoff travels around the UK with his mate in a chip van).

I’m not sure any of those shows have anything to do with Top Gear. I remember watching Martin Clunes and Neil Morrisey travelling around Australia long before the revamped Top Gear arrived.

Sending mates off on a trip is just an easy way of making a 2 or 3 part series.

Isn't this basically the premise of Amazon's Top Gear Clarkson and Mates' show?

Maybe they should try a "Saturday Morning Kitchen" approach, maybe have a different guest presenter for each show but keep some regulars.

Yes?
