The best episodes of Top Gear in a nutshell.

Isn't this basically the premise of Amazon's Top Gear Clarkson and Mates' show?

Maybe they should try a "Saturday Morning Kitchen" approach, maybe have a different guest presenter for each show but keep some regulars.

Yes?

The Chris Evans idea wasn’t a bad one. Get a popular and/or successful presenter who loves cars.

It didn’t quite work with Chris, but there’s no reason to give up. Other than Eddie Jordan (who was barely in the series) the new presenters were all fine, either don’t bother replacing Evans or just get a funny person who likes cars (and who can get on with Americans) in.

Funny you say that, James Martin is apparently one of the favourites to replace Chris Evans (along with Guy Martin and Jenson Button) - even though the BBC apparently aren't looking to replace him.

At the moment, the favourites are;

James Martin
Guy Martin
Martin Freeman
Martin Sheen
All the members of the house martins
Martin Clunes
A common house martin

I would be happy with James Martin, he is a great presenter and a good car fan. He also has a massive fan base so that would help with restoring the show.

I'd like to see Guy Martin do it, especially as he isn't doing so much racing this year. Put him and Harris as the two main presenters.

Gut Martin would be great.

His coworkers, Le Blanc in particular, hated him.

Is this actually the case or just rumours?

Just rumors. But he clearly pissed off the wrong people.

I wonder if we'll get a new series around Christmas.

It would seem they are going to get Chris Harris to do what he does best, they have him making quality videos.

I saw a trailer the other day. Didn't think it was funny. However, I really like Chris Harris, and I'm hoping (as ever) for a renewed focus on actual cars and driving. If people want stupidity, they can get an Amazon Prime sub.

I just really hope they have a feature about the Aston Martin AM-RB 001 hypercar.

I like the look of it. More LeBlanc is always a good thing.
