I really enjoyed that crazy buggy segment. Still hate the celeb bits and skip them if I'm watching on iPlayer, but the rest has been ace!

Yep, I really like Mat's enthusiasm and obvious knowledge about cars it's turned it back into an actual car show with comic elements rather than a comedy show that just happens to have a car in now and then.

A cracking series overall, the three presenters they have now are great.

That was an odd final episode though, what the hell was the Bernie Ecclestone interview about? It just came across so weird.

The Russian 4x4 8x8 was great, naked ramblers. The boat section should have been rubbish, but it was actually fun and the torpoodo made me laugh more than it should have.

I reckon if you put Jay Kay at one end of a corridor and me (or anyone else who watched last night's episode) at the other, with Anthony Joshua in the middle, and told me that if I got past Joshua I could punch Jay Kay in the face then Joshua wouldn't have a chance of stopping me. strawberry float it, if they gave Joshua a shotgun I'd still go straight through him no bother in order to punch Jay Kay. Wouldn't even break a sweat.

Weak end to an otherwise excellent series.

This episode just felt like a random mix of old stuff they'd filmed but couldn't fit anywhere else. Why was there even a random Bernie Ecclestone interview in the middle?
The two boat segments were okay but lacking something, and I always find it hard to get worked up about a new Porche so that review didn't interest me.

Final episode did feel a bit like odds and ends thrown together but in general a good series held together by three good presenters who have developed their own chemistry. Very enjoyable!

This series has been the best Top Gear in a long long time.
The entire presenting team are great and Matt is fantastic in his leading role.

Very good series. Glad they are all still together for 2018. Graham in Extra Gear can strawberry float off though

BBC News wrote:Matt LeBlanc is to leave Top Gear after the next series.

The Friends and Episodes star began presenting the show alongside Chris Evans in 2016.

LeBlanc then fronted the show with Rory Reid and Chris Harris, after Evans left after his first series.

LeBlanc said that despite the show being "great fun", the "time commitment and extensive travel... takes me away from my family and friends more than I'm comfortable with."

He added: "It's unfortunate, but for these reasons I will not be continuing my involvement with the show. I will forever be a Top Gear fan and I wish the team continued success. Thanks for a great drive."

BBC Two controller Patrick Holland said: "I want to thank the fabulous Matt LeBlanc for being a brilliant co-host on Top Gear."

New hosts are Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff.

That sounds gooseberry fool to me. Really gooseberry fool.

I think you may be right.
I'll give them a chance but if they do go down the "Lads" road then I'm out.
It's a shame about Matt but we had a good few series with him and the crew so lets hope that style is the way the new group go instead of zany craziness and top bants which will just fall flat and bomb.

They're retaining Chris Harris. I mean there has to be at least 1 car expert.

I like Flintoff, not too keen on McGuinness.

I don't think Flintoff can play it any other way.

I haven't watched a single episode of Top Gear since the Clarkson/May/Hammond trinity finished. Those last few seasons with them were really crap, totally turned me off the show.
