Our rules have changed, and with change comes war on a scale as yet unimagined.

Gigantic monsters, flying creatures, legendary heroes and storms of magical power take their place on the battlefield, alongside thousands of warriors clashing in real-time tactical battles. All at YOUR command.

In the turn-based campaign game of statecraft & empire building, you will find the Old World an unforgiving and treacherous place, filled with endless war and cunning alliances alike. Whichever race you choose to play as and however you seek conquest, you will be faced with a conflict that threatens to tear the very fabric of reality asunder.

Happy to see it's set in the Old World

Why not call it Total Warhammer?

I'm glad to see GW are allowing a lot more people to have a go at making games of their properties - Blood Bowl 2 is looking good, Mordheim is coming along and now all we need is a Man O'War game that plays like the boat sections in Assassin's Creed, and decent Gorkamorka and Necromunda games and it's all good.

They're planning a trilogy of standalone games + content packs, maybe they're building towards the post-End Times setting?

Don't forget the L4D-style Skaven-splatting co-op FPS Vermintide:

I am guessing it is a trilogy because of the amount of different races, with the other games, there are a lot of similarities between factions, now they are totally different. So it looks like Empire, Chaos, Undead(Vampire Counts), Dwarfs, and Orcs to kick it all off with, but that leaves a lot of elves out, so maybe one of the Elven races too. That is quite a hefty amount of unique units to create.

Will be really interested to see how this one develops

Okay so no Chaos to kick off, and just 4 races, but as long as those 4 are done well I am happy with that. Like the idea that the future 2 ones will be stand alone, but they will all work together. Still surprised they have stepped away from the elves in the first iteration. I have a feeling that 2nd will see both High Elves and Dark Elves

BFGA's HUD reminds me of Final Liberation's, back in the day. :)

Been a while since anyone has mentioned this, I preordered this on CDkeys at the start of the year @ £21.99 so hopefully that all goes well, but the cinematic for the last of the 4 opening races dropped on Tuesday and the last couple of days has seen it peek into the top 10 sellers on steam, not bad considering it is 2 months out. But it does seem to show that people on steam do love Zombies...
