Transferring content from launch day 360 to Slim

A quick question for the wise ones of the forum:

It looks like I'm going to have to replace my launch day 360 because it won't play nicely with my new TV through Component and, of course, it doesn't have an HDMI connection. I'm therefore looking at getting a 360 Slim 250Gb.

I assume it will be possible to transfer all my save games and content from one console to the other somehow?

Thankfully, I've worked out why the TV wouldn't display the 360 properly and been able to fix the problem, so I can save my pennies for now.
