That's quite shocking, Shia, bumblebee and josh dummel all coming in at pretty much the same point on all three films.

So annoyed I have to wait an extra week to see TF4, why are we a week behind. I believe we've had the first 3 films a day or two before the states previously.

Saw this last night. It was.....not good. Not bad, either, just really strawberry floating long and kinda boring. Probably better than the previous 3 but that's not saying much as I think they're appalling movies. It was definitely the least Michael Bay-ey of the 4 if you get what I mean. There was very little of the godawful, bottom-of-the-barrel toilet humour that plagued the first three nor any ridiculous gratuitous shots of a scantily clad female to appeal to teenage boys, so that's a plus. Another is there's FAAAAAAR more focus on the Transformers than the humans this time around, then again the movie is over 3 strawberry floating hours long. So maybe it just seemed like there was more Transformer action due to the ridiculous running time. I was just so incredibly bored throughout. A Tranformer fan would probably like it, though. And if you liked the previous 3 movies you'll absolutely love it.

Probably a 6/10 for me, though.

Think of everything you could conceivably create were you given $300 million dollars and all the controls of the Hollywood machine. Just think. That's enough money to buy a nuclear submarine, to build a World Cup quality football stadium. To hold a music festival.

I don't think I've ever seen so much money disappear into nothingness than in this film. I know where it went, the meaningless CGI and big name "talent", including Bay himself, but my god this movie is a perfect illustration of how money is no substitute for actual skill. Some thoughts I had while watching :

- Within 3 minutes the editing was annoying me.
- The dialogue is perhaps the worst I've ever heard in a film. During Prime's closing speech I was trying to think up the corniest way they could end it. Theirs was still worse.
- The were at least 4 plots, none of which were sufficiently explained or resolved. The plot holes would take up an entire page here.
- The CGI was remarkably unremarkable. Bay still insists on shoving the camera up the robot's arses creating his patented "explosion in a junk yard" aesthetic.
- The battles were boring, horribly choreographed and over long.
- It's three strawberry floating hours long.

Just godawful. Probably not as bad as 3 thanks to the lack of LaBeef and a toning down of the teeth clenchingly awful humour.

I always hope somehow Bay will make a decent one but it always turns out the same. Sounds like more of the same unfortunately.

I seen it today. Much better than the first 3. Wahlberg is so much better than Lebouf. Doesn't take a lot of effort, but either way.

Yeah it's officially out tomorrow because America is petty and won't let us Brits have it until after independence day

Surely that cant be the reason.

it is a strange one though to be released on a Saturday. Will make its first week uk box office performance look poor surely.

No, because they get to add the numbers from the week of "previews" to it

Just back from it. Pretty average. Too much human drama, movie is bloated and overlong.

Because that makes up for two full days release doesn't it  most films get released on a Thursday and have previews before.

There was too much Marky Mark and daughter drama, but on the flipside I thought they improved on previous films in giving much more attention to the bots this time. We actually got a fair few scenes focusing on the Autobot team and getting an idea of their characters and the dynamics between them.

Crosshairs FTW 8-)

Improved over the first films, but still trash. A film being 45 minutes too long is just staggering - **

Went to watch it on Saturday.

Dinobots = win 8-)

I can see why everyone says it's guff. But I bloody loved it. :shifty:

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

I've been to the pictures to watch the first three. Transformers 1 is amazing, blockbuster cinema done right - I was so excited when first hearing Optimus Prime talking! The second and third films have last thirds that have non-stop action that lost my attention because they lacked anything else and despite all the fighting I got kinda bored. I wanna see this but over THREE hours man is a lot of time.
