Ehh. I'll still watch it obviously but several characters really need to be cut. They're dragging the show down.

Well that was a pretty good episode.

For me you can get rid of

Sam and the little girl
All Werewolves apart from Alcide and his dad
Tara (who should have gone a few seasons back)
The Newlands (despite Sarah being hot)

I like the Newlands. They are good comedy relief.

Alcide can go. All he does is grimace and stand around bare chested.

They blatantly trolled us by making her a vampire.

6x06- The cast cull begins! Ironically Terry was most tolerable right before the end. Overall episode was pretty good, especially all the Eric breakout scenes. Least said about the final Sookie scene the better, I was thinking that was a Warlow dream sequence until the episode ended. Bill should have just converted the governor, killing him won't do anything good.

Last two episodes has been very good although this AV Club quote sums up the show pretty well...

True Blood has an astonishing ability to consistently undercut its more interesting, entertaining stories with truly eye-rolling moments. This episode—save a few tired Alcide beats—was really trucking along well right up until the very end, when Sookie and Warlow consummated their strange betrothal in some sort of fairy dimension. I’ll give the show this: Sookie consistently makes the worst choices, so at least the characterization was on track.

Really hope they continue to kill off more cast members. Terry's death was very well done. Next up Alcide please. Sookie would be the idea choice but obviously that won't ever happen. Sam has been dead weight for a while now too.

Next season will surely be the last, right? The sooner they wrap it up the sooner we can get an Eric spin off.

6x07- The state of Eric's wig and accent. Was that supposed to be British? Every episode should have Eric dress up and pretend to be someone else like a vampire Mr Benn.

Probably one of the best eps for a while.

I've found this season surprisingly good, and I was so close to giving up with True Blood.

If they continue to minimise the non vampire storylines and focus on vampires vs military storylines they'll definitely be onto the best season in ages.

Good ep indeed. Everything to do with the facility or Bill day-walking was great. Thank god they finally have Sookie doing something other than having sex with someone or being lovey dovey/insufferably boring. On a related note, Warlow has been a massive disappointment.

6x08- True Blood lady was a likeable character so of course the show killed her off. I liked Warlow too. :( Disappointed at the lack of Eric in today's ep but the scene with Bill was good.

At least the pack storyline appears to be dead.

A good Sookie centric episode.

I'd take a whole show of just the prison stuff. True Blood x Oz crossover please.

Just watched the final two episodes, really good apart from Warlow
being a pointless character, could have been a great villain but spent half the series tied up to a statue until he finally became bad.

Hope thats not the end of
Pam and Eric

Also the final scene
Zombie Vampires. Really? Hep V mutated?

Final episode:

So Eric is dead. :|Honestly expected him to have to bury himself in the snow rapidly to avoid the true death. Killing off the best character when so many shite characters remain. Didn't expect to see his cock either before he burst into flames!
Warlow was killed way too easily given he's 5500 years old
The pacing overall was just really off.

I seriously doubt Eric is dead, they wouldn't have killed him off like that. You are right about the rest of it though, there was just no momentum at all for the last half hour.

Well, this thread has managed only 9 pages in three years so.... :slol:

I'm guessing it still has a decent general audience although the buzz around it has definitely died down a lot. I'll watch the last season because I've come this far and the show generally has just enough good moments (mostly involving Eric and Pam) to keep me form turning off completely.

It's still the second most watched HBO show currently on the air, behind Game of Thrones.
