Elizabeth Moss is a good actress, don't think I've ever seen Kitsch in any thing.

Elizabeth Moss and Colin Farell would be great I think. I liked Taylor Kitsch in Friday Night Lights and although I haven't seen him in anything else he can definitely do brooding well. Hard to imagine Vince Vaughn fitting in well though.

Can be very hit and miss. Let's hope the quality of the script helps him through.

It will. It's arguably the best thing about the show. Farrell isn't the greatest actor in the world. Neither is Woody Harrelson, and yet...

I'm not sold on this at all. Really want it to deliver though, so will give it a chance.

Lin isn't directing all the episodes like Fukunaga did however

The second season will feature eight, hour-long episodes. Same as the first season.

The show will film in California later this fall with the first two episodes directed by Justin Lin, who is often credited with injecting new life into the Fast & Furious franchise.

HBO’s official plot description is as follows: “Three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.” Farrell is confirmed for one of the police officers, Vaughn will be playing the career criminal. Taylor Kitsch is expected to nab another of the police roles with several actresses still in the running for the fourth and final lead.

Farrell’s character description paints him as an anti-hero: “Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him.”

Vaughn’s presents him as astraight-up villain: “Frank Semyon, a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner.”
