Dexter, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a show that outstayed its welcome by 3-4 seasons.

Oh, and Enterprise.

I normally defend that show but strawberry float that last episode.

As somone who has watched season 1 (and now won't bother with the rest  ) why is that ending in particular so bad?

It's a bizarre sequence with no resolution to the show. I forgot to mention the bit where Dexter carries a corpse out of a hospital in broad daylight and nobody reacts.

Hmm ok I can kind of see how after investing in 6 (6? 7?) seasons of the show that might feel like a bit of a crap ending, but the worst? I dunno, just doesn't strike me as that outrageous. Out of curiosity, how would you have seen the show finish? Even though I'd only watched season 1 I imagined that it would end with him finally getting cornered and dying in a shootout, maybe taking some key characters with him, or maybe even being killed by his sister?

I think Michael C Hall said a while back they talked about a flashforward ending where Dexter is being executed by lethal injection and sees everyone he ever killed. That would have been better.

The Killing Season 4. That ending was total, utter nonsense. I mean, season 4 was pretty shite anyway but to pull that 5 years later bollocks at the end was insulting.

Don't even get me started with what happens to his sister!

Personally, Lost. Hand down. After years of claiming every mystery could be explained using rational science, the series ends in literal Christian Limbo with the characters being ushered through a door into the afterlife by a guy call Shepard.Awful beyond belief, and makes the show completely unwatchable even if I did ever want to drag myself through that filth again.

Ever? Probably Rosanne: http://roseanne.wikia.com/wiki/Into_Tha ... ht,_Part_2

Godzilla wrote:Quantum Leap just kinda ended without him making it home.

Woah woah woaaah Quantum Leap has one of the /best/ final episodes of any TV series.

The fact he never returns home is a vital part of his character - it's the ultimate selfless act. It's revealed that Sam has been choosing where to leap subconciously all along - he could have and could still return home whenever he wants. But he doesn't, because he realises that he is making a difference and that he's helped so many people. He makes the choice to keep leaping and to keep helping people for as long as he can.

Wasn't there an alternate ending where he did return home?

The one where he chooses to keep going is way better though. He even fixes Al's marriage for him too.

Way to open the thread with spoilers for a show that only just finished on some networks, I didn't even know S3 was out. :/

Apart from Tigh and Adama not having a goodbye, I thought it was okay, even excellent in some places.

I don't even mind the dancing robots.

The only aspect of the Battlestar Galactica finale I didn't like was them sending all the ships and their technology into the sun. That part was dumb. The rest of it was really great.

Lost, obviously. Still stings; God, I loved that show!

Sons of Anarchy finale was, though, perhaps less surprising, abysmal too.

I'll add my votes for

Dexter - however the series was on permanent decline since season 4
Angel - just too rushed
How I met your mother - just should have given everyone what they wanted and expected instead lf trying to trick people
24 - although having tried to end on other seasons the last season was forgetable as a whole

While Lost wasn't great It didn't bother me and was better than I was expecting

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S3, HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S4, Dexter S2
RACE | Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)
