I think it the setting of a small grubby pub is the problem here. As people have said, judo and stuff are fine in school enviroments.

Maybe it was the only way to settle differences between the lads?

My only argument is that they held both kids hands up at the end of the fight. One should definitely have been subjected to the bitter pain of loss and inferiority, cue rematch (which no doubt after this media hypocrisy would sell 10x the amount of tickets).

What a nothing of a story. I don't know much about MMA - but isn't it safer than Boxing. AND these kids were not even punching or kicking.

Somebody mentioned the Daily Mail, so I clicked on to it and saw photos of people drinking in Cardiff. Wow. Shocking. Dick head Press.

So this is bad, yet entering young babies in pageants isn't?

It's nothing unusual in Thailand - kids do kick boxing and such like all the time for public edification. Lots of fuss about nothing - and, as usual, we see the likes of the NSPCC getting their rent-a-quote dutifully reported by a clueless BBC (who clearly disapprove of this kind of thing). When will people realise that every child should be imprisoned in a cotton wool bubble and never allowed anywhere near that nasty thing called real life? I was chatting to a neighbour yesterday and she was telling me, without a hint of shame, how her seventeen year-old daughter has never used public transport because 'she doesn't feel comfortable on it'.

Do you live in an affluent area? Where I live i'm sure many people don't feel comfortable on public transport, but that's South London for you! Travel on the upstairs of certain buses at home-time and you will be privy to a live theatre of shouting, arguing, fighting, empty take-away boxes, nasty women cutting toenails, single-mothers clogging up the walkway with their prams without bothering to close them, and more frolicks. Despite this people shouldn't wrap their kids in cotton wool because they need to be able to integrate with the local world around them, whether that be nice or not so nice.

I would argue Drama is a more productive subject for an aspiring wrestler than PE

Cal, that is a literally strawberry floating amazing use of Thailand as a shining example of a country that knows what's ok and not ok when it comes to whether or not they're exploiting children.
