[PROMO ENDED] Ubi were giving away AC Blak Flag

PC players can download the excellent Assassin's Creed: Black Flag for free next week, as part of Ubisoft's Happy Playdays seasonal promotion.
If you fancy downloading the rip-roaring, piratical high seas adventure (which I still reckon is the best Assassin's Creed game, but then I'm easily swayed a peg leg and a palm tree), it'll be available between Monday December 11th and Monday December 18th.
If you're after a more immediate freebie, however, Ubisoft is also giving away a PC copy of alternate-history RTS World in Conflict, plus its single-player Soviet Assault expansion, right now. You've got until December 11th to grab it.Both games can be downloaded by signing up for a free Uplay account (if you don't have one already), then logging into the service and following the extremely prominent banner. They're also giving away one of the best RTSs ever made (and one of my personal go-to Christmas games)

It's a strawberry floating great game though, and still has some of the best nukes in gaming. Also, Alec Baldwin.

True story: I saw the free WiC offer, thought "cool", went to the DL page, saw uPlay was required...decided to pirate it instead. I already have Origin, Blizzard Launcher, GOG launcher and Steam on my PC.

I think I have Blizzard, Steam, Ubi and possibly GOG's platforms on my PC. They only launch when I use 'em and so I'm cool with 'em.

It was a games with gold on Xbox One a year ago, also, not sure if its the best AC game anymore.

Slight difference if you stop subbing to Gold won't you lose your GWG Bone games till you next sub? It's added to your uPlay account (Which, like Origin, isn't as gooseberry fool as it once was) so is yours as long as the service runs and no need for a yearly sub.

True story: all but one of the approximately 10 games I have on uPlay is a freebie, and the one which isn't was a humble bundle bonus code for something I already had on Steam.
I've only played one game to completion on uPlay and that was Far Cry 4 from years ago, it just doesn't get a look in next to Stream and GOG.
I'll no doubt pick these new freebies up to add to the pile!

That's right, it's not AC 2. It's the best AC game. But AC 2 is a very good game also. Actually. Thinking about it. AC 2 is the best AC game. But BF is the better game, which just so happens to have the AC name. By which I mean traditional AC gameplay had grown stagnant and boring and the boat gameplay saved the game. That and awesome soundtrack.

Well it worked. I logged into Uplay for the first time since Far Cry 3 came out.
Black Flag will be the first Assassins Creed game I play.

Thought I'd celebrate this event by finally going through some of my captured footage featuring some of the trademark Ubisoft polish. Contains probably my fav ever bug/glitch, it just kept on giving.
