Just played the demo. I liked it but I'm not sure if I'll get the game. If I do, it'll be when it's dead cheap. I don't know anything about UFC, you see.

Don't know that much about UFC but I was loving this until my 360 died. I don't think it could handle the brutalness of the knockouts.

If I have a job by 22nd May then it's a day one purchase. Otherwise I may have to hold off. I want to have a go on create-a-fighter :)

The way people get knocked out in this looks so good. They go limp but it doesn't look cartoony at all, looks really realistic.

The demo just keeps pulling me back again and again. I want to play an actual game but I end up just playing the demo. I might have to get the full game after all.

I tried out 'Advanced' difficulty last night and have to say it plays like a different game. At the 'begginer' you can quite freely kick to your hearts content, do that on a higher difficulty you'll be countered and chucked to the ground

It is so realistic at times, catch an opponent off guard and that will take them to the mat. Throw in a few kicks and let them stand, I prefer straight up fisty cuffs 8-)

This demo feels exactly the same for me when I first played Fight Night. Soon as I played I knew this was going to be something special, get a demo right like this and you just want to find what more the game has to offer

As I said in the Marketplace thread, once you hit the mat it's no where near as fun. The AI gets really cheap and there's none of the fun you get waiting for counters and timing strikes well. Getting mounted is frustrating, you need to be the luckiest man alive to get out of it.

Have you tried the tutorial, Exxy? It's all about swinging around your opponent, you have to wait just before they punch so that you can counter it. Tha's what I have come to so far anyway

I ramped it up to Expert and got completely owned on the mat, where it seems a hell of a lot more fluid moving than I ever thought it could be. I had been interested in how this would turn out, but was concerned about how fluid transitions would be once you get to the ground based action. Needn't have worried really, it's excellent. The whole presentation in fact is pretty awesome, the commentary is good, it looks amazing, and the overlays are in fitting with the television broadcasts.

Good grief, the music is absolutely terrible in this.

Decent game though. Seems a bit easy though. Gonna ramp up the difficulty...

EDIT: Hmm, shame you have to take it up to Expert to get any kind of challenge. That kinda puts me off buying. How long before you start winning every match?
