No commentary or music when you stream. People just seem to hammer L3 to get out of the ground it's rather annoying. Had a fun fight here online against a Bruce Lee who had a mighty chin.

Bruce Lee is ridiculous when it comes to stand up . He rocks me with few punches but I throw everything at him and nothing much happens. He does suck on the ground though

I've noticed when you get ground and pounded sometimes there is a major button delay. Your video above shows what i mean (at the end when you ko him ). I really hope they patch that as it really annoys me that i can't do anything for good few seconds .

Digital Foundry face-off

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit ... c-face-off

It's clear that that both versions of UFC still operate using 1600x900 framebuffers in combination with multi-sampling anti-aliasing. As we saw in the demo code, 4x MSAA is present on PS4, reduced to 2x MSAA on the Xbox One, giving Sony's system a tangible increase in overall image quality even if the difference is fairly subtle a lot of the time. A closer look at the edges on Xbox One also reveals some inconsistent transparent pixels around characters and scenery, suggesting a rougher, less refined scaling implementation. This leads to the game looking slightly fuzzier, although when viewing the action from a few feet away on our 32-inch HDTV these artefacts are pretty well concealed by post-processing effects.

As we saw in the demo, the PS4 version is more refined where these effects are concerned, with higher-precision object blur and better-quality shadow filtering on Sony's console. Motion blur is a touch heavier on the PS4, as is the use of ambient occlusion, providing a slightly greater amount of depth across character faces than the Xbox One version.

In the multi-platform stakes the PS4 game benefits from superior effects work and better image quality, giving this version a slightly more refined look. Performance is a little more solid on Xbox One, but the pros and cons for each version have minimal impact in terms of the impact on gameplay. Overall, the PS4 version of UFC nudges ahead but it must be said that the experience is virtually interchangeable across both consoles. With that in mind, if the bulk of your competition lies with Xbox One owners online we have no hesitation in recommending that version too.

So it's not just a freak occurrence.

Did EA ever say why it's 900p after previously saying it would be 1080p?

EA claimed the PS4 version was gong to be 1080p while the XBO version was going to be 900p, so god knows what happened.

Like I said, there's some great foundations here, but they've lumped us with an unfinished game.

While your usual Fanboy PS4 tripe rules again you seemed to miss out on one point....

But anyway.

It's dissapointing this has a few glitches and gripes was looking forward to a EA Sports UFC game. Hopefully they patch it up and get it playing better. Though knowing EA Sports and patching for FIFA I highly doubt it.

Picked this up the other day, mainly because I got a refund on a hotel stay and wanted something different.

Man, this is gooseberry fool, it just feels like it needed waaaay more work to it, I completed the campaign mode, all the way till they force you to retire, there is literally nothing to it, where as the THQ ones at least made custom videos for your fighters to make it look entertaining, once you get out of TUF, it gets so boring and dull. The online mode is a bit of a mess, although it has quite a few features, the server lag and the constant spinny leg kick gooseberry fool is annoying as strawberry float, this just feels so lazy, I find it nearly impossible to do takedowns or defend, I know the buttons, it just doesn't want to work for me, online or off.

There's a free update out

http://www.easports.com/ufc/news-updates-gameplay/article/ea-sports-ufc-patch-notes-july?utm_medium=email&utm_source=arm&utm_campaign=ufc-email-na-gem-arm-na-ufc-winbackdlc-jul14-&sourceid=ufc-email-na-gem-arm-na-ufc-winbackdlc-jul14-

The first free content update for EA SPORTS UFC is now available for download worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In addition to providing improvements relating to gameplay, in-game animations and the online experience, this free content update also adds new fighters to the EA SPORTS UFC Roster.

New fighters now available for play include:

TJ Dillashaw – Bantamweight Champion
Takeya Mizugaki – Bantamweight Division
Tyron Woodley – Welterweight Division
Watch the video below to see each of these new fighters, as well as new gameplay additions in action.

Key Gameplay Updates:

  • Touch Gloves: Users will now have the ability to manually make their fighter touch gloves (or choose not to touch gloves) before beginning to fight by pressing L2 on PS4 or LT on Xbox One. This can be done at the start of every round, or anytime the ref stands the fighters up.
  • Finish the Fight: During a knockout, the attacking fighter can jump on their downed opponent and “finish the fight” by delivering extra strikes as the knockout occurs.
  • Sprawls: The defending fighter now sprawls when successfully defending against a power takedown.
  • Clinch Break from the Cage: Fighters now have the ability to break out of a clinch when pressed against the fence by pressing the L3 button.
  • Power Takedowns and Sweeps: Power takedowns and side control sweeps have been removed from fighters who would not normally have them.
  • Stamina: Stamina no longer regenerates if the user holds block. The user will also take a larger stamina penalty if hit while weak blocking.
  • Sweep Defense: The dominant fighter in the Full Guard position now has a larger window to reverse the Full Guard sweep to Mount.

Nice update. They really need to increase the damage to strong kicks to the head.
