Credit where credit's due; it can't be said that you haven't successfully developed your own mental agenda.

As has been said before; the best evidence for the BBC's central position along the political spectrum is the fact that those at the extremes of both ends believe it to be biased against them.

Yes of course, because we should all become placid and accepting like sheep. No, that mindless herd mentality does not suit me.

Placid sheeplke mentalities are what leads to right wing policies. Also anyone who would describe themselves as left wing should be disgusted by the pro-royal bias on the BBC. They act like their private PR department.

I don't like how the BBC fawns over the royals, but they are the living part of a thousand year old institution, and that fascinates me. Would we really be better off losing it to history? I mean, they are living historical artifacts.

Doesn't make sense. If all reporting is biased, why not simply ban all reporting? Or our their kinds of bias that are more acceptable than others? IMO, I'm glad to have at least one news channel that is not owned by massive conglomerate headed by the extremely rich.

I have never found the BBC to be particularly biased anyway, albeit it has undue deference for "British institutions" such as the monarchy and the army and spends for too much time trying to gain favour with whoever happens to be holding its purse strings. For example, recently it was talking up the decrease in unemployment figures, which is not that surprising at all and exactly what you would expect coming out of a recession, and almost completely ignoring the very strange anomaly of stagnant or even falling wages that has accompanied that growth.

The BBC attempts to maintain NPOV but could be fairly called "centrist". This is a perfectly reasonable position for a state-funded broadcaster to take - I'd prefer they reported on the Green Party a little more, but ultimately I'm self-aware enough to recognise that I largely feel that way because I support them.

As someone else said, both the far-left and the far-right complain about the BBC's bias, which is how you know it's doing something right.

Except that when the likes of Owen Jones complains about BBC bias we all know it's a self-serving false flag operation. Ditto when Robert Peston does the same.

We've grown used to these kind of transparent fakes. Every so often someone from the Left will accuse the BBC of right wing bias very publicly. Nobody falls for it. The BBC are a complete sham.

Ugh, that is just retarded.

Except that when the likes of The Spectator complains about BBC bias we all know it's a self-serving false flag operation. Ditto when Guido Fawkes does the same.

Could you please back that up rather than just pretending the majority agree with you and that it's so obvious we should all be able to see it?

I have asked before for you to find a story or article on the BBC website that is obviously biased. As this thread is now a [DISCUSSION] and you keep bringing up BBC "bias", the rules of the thread now demand that you back up your accusations.

If you want I could prove that the BBC gave UKIP a disproportionately large amount of coverage in the run up to the last vote

Pfffffffffffffft. You can prove anything with 'evidence'.

Tell you what, Moggy, I can do better than that: let's just cut to the chase and get Skarjo to issue me with a warning and/or a ban. Better now?

It won't matter what I might link to by way of backing up my claims about the BBC; you will dismiss it and you will never be satisfied and I will still believe the BBC to be institutionally biased (in all manner of ways), so let's not go round and round again, yes? If nothing else, it spares everyone else here the tedium.

You just have to realise that you are right wing and out of kilter with the majority consensus, just as I have realised my own socialist leanings put me off the reservation. Life is a lot easier once you realise you are eternal outsider and your views will almost never be considered neutral, trust me on that. Then you will get used to the media almost always saying things you disagree with.

Okay, fine - however, I should warn you that if you re-enter a discussion about the BBC at a later date without supplying the supporting evidence for your views that has been now so clearly requested then that will be taken as a violation of the [DISCUSSION] rules. A hiatus in posting doesn't sweep away your obligation to debate issues responsibly.

Yes, I'll consider myself 'warned' then, Karl. Warned not to express an opinion which I am far from alone in sharing. Just Google 'BBC bias' and you'll see page after page of links claiming BBC bias from both sides - 11,600,000 results, to be precise. But - hey - I've been 'warned' not to express my opinions here without Moggy's necessary PROOF. I could give you 11,600,000 reasons why that's ridiculously unfair, but it's late and I'm really too tired to care. But thanks for the 'warning', Karl - I know it made at least one person here very happy tonight.

Nighty-Night.

Thats ridiculous. You could suggest literally anything, and find pages and pages of links or responses about it on google.
