That is pure speculation. Other explanations are just as likely.

Well at the moment terrorism is the most likely explanation. any technical fault would have resulted in a distress call. 2 passengers were travelling on stolen passports. I'm calling terrorism.

Hexx wrote:As much fun as it would be to crow about this (party in the secret sub forum!) in actual news:

Police officers in England and Wales are to be instructed not to confer before writing up their notes of serious incidents they are involved in.

The BBC understands guidance will be issued to forces once it has been approved by the home secretary.

At present, officers can pool their recollections before making individual statements.

The draft guidance, seen by BBC News, says conferring "has the potential to undermine public confidence".

In January, the BBC learned that the Independent Police Complaints Commission was preparing the new guidance which will apply to incidents in which someone dies or is seriously injured.

It will tell forces that police witnesses should be instructed not to speak, or otherwise communicate, about the incident in question.

They should be kept separate until after their detailed individual factual accounts have been taken, it will say.

The BBC's home affairs correspondent Danny Shaw said that the new rules would represent a significant departure from current practice.

How was this not a thing before!

It's already a thing that you don't confer before writing your statement however I think the specific of this is that they have to separate the officers straight away. Which will be very difficult as in a lot of situations the incidents will take ages to resolve so officers could be together for several hours after someone has died or been seriously injured before they get round to writing a statement.

No, it wasn't a technical fault. Planes can just break up in air due to wear and tear, pilots commit suicide, it might have hit something upon take off etc etc. All of those are just as likely as terrorism.

Also if someone blew it up, wouldn't they have claimed responsibility by now? What is the point otherwise?

Because they strawberry floated up? I imagine their aim wasn't to blow it up over water  No one wants to be the chuckle brothers of terrorism.

If they don't find it soon, then a failed hijacking is probably the best answer if you are looking for terrorism.

Probably not worth a new thread, but has anyone watched "EDL Girls: Don't Call Me Racist" on BBC3?

Full on retard porn.

Some silly bint was crying over a YouTube comment from a "Muslim" who said Muslim gangs are going to take over the country.

EDIT: They just told a girl she was being too racist for the EDL.

I genuinely wanted to due to morbid fascination, but my stomach turned after 2/3 minutes when that woman started celebrating about cooking brocolli, the wee dance she did kinda' turned my stomach. I'll give it a try later on.

It's just you said you'd give it a try later so I thought you meant the dance.

I wouldn't trust the country to vote to stay in the EU either.

Just got to that bit myself, burst out laughing.

I love how they all can't articulate their ideals, they trail off so many sentences with a head shake or similar as if the ideas are self explanatory.

Exactly, look what happened when we tried to scrap the First Past The Post system.
