Great news about Stewart Lee getting another two series, just this afternoon I rewatched the episode in the 2nd series where he played guitar and everyone kept walking out.
I think he said he was taking a break which is probably why it'll be a couple of years before we see the next series.

Re-watching Peep Show from the beginning with the missus. We're half way through Series 3 right now, what a cracking show this is, the best part being that she loves it too.

Mark shitting his guts out as Jeremy, Johnson, Big Sooz, Super Hans and the other girl look on in horror.

Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle has been commissioned for another two series. The show is set be broadcast on BBC Two in 2014/15.

Since the first series aired in 2009, the programme has built up a fiercely loyal audience, and Stewart will once again be taking the opportunity to ruffle a few feathers. Produced by Richard Webb and directed by Tim Kirkby, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle is a mixture of stand-up and sketches, performed by Stewart and special guest.

BBC Comedy is thrilled with the commission, with the Head of In-house Comedy, Mark Freeland commenting: "How brilliant that BBC Two has given Stewart Lee two more series. It's reward for a unique, perfectionist, hardworking, bit scary comedy master and the wonderful team behind him. I'm standing by with my compliance forms".

Stewart Lee is also excited at the prospect of two more series: "It will be amazing to be able to move forward and experiment in this unprecedentedly secure position. Thanks to everyone out there who watched the series, wrote about them, or lobbied for their return. I will make you proud. Peace! I'm outta here! You shoulda killed me last year!".

Can understand why it's a while off. The comedy vehicle eps are a mix of just-for-tv and re-done bits from his previous tours. He needs a lot more than Carpet Remnant World to give him the material. Probably means there'll be at least one if not two new tours before the show airs.

Well...
There's a bus that never comes, except in threes
There's a train that never runs because of leaves
And there's a woman that never comes, perhaps she's dead
And there's a toaster, and it always burns the bread

There's a town in the north-east of England where the weather's always freezing
And the girls parade around in inappropriate clothing
And there's a drawer of random objects in the shed
And there's a toaster, and it always burns the bread

I don't believe you, you're a liar
You're a liar and your pants are lit on fire
You're a l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-liar
And your name is Michael strawberry floatin........

It doesn't matter. I love reading the negative stuff written about Lee on Don'tStartMeOff. If you like McIntyre, embrace the hate. If you can't it probably means that deep down you think he's a bit gooseberry fool.

Why is he the comeback for any criticism of Stewart Lee met with "Oh he must be a Michael McIntyre fan". Is there some kind of comedy feud going on that I don't know about? Is there beef? are they from opposing sides of the country?

Michael McIntyre - "I'm going to point out familiar things in a wacky way, lol I look chinese"
Stewart Lee - "I'm going to moan on for hours without actually making a joke or being witty in any way."

I don't get all the hate with comedy, I like both Stewart Lee and Michael McIntyre. I see both forms of comedy enjoyable <3
