Spotted a comedy called Ronny Chieng: International Student on BBC last night. Watched the pilot episode, thought it showed some potential ie it made me laugh on occasion! Tis worth a watch.
Also, on an unrelated note, didn't realise that was most probably the finale of The Dectorists

I think its one of the best things on tv at the moment, one of the few shows I make a point of watching. Some of the tasks they come up sound so strawberry floating stupid but when you see what people end up doing, its always brilliant.
Yeah I heard about the US one, like most things they try and bring to the US it will probably be gooseberry fool but Ill check it out anyway. Surely theyll do another series over here, its one of Daves best shows.
Speaking of Dave, does anyone watch Dave Gorman’s Modern Life is Goodish? Missed most of the most recent series, but caught the last one this week. His bit on Thomas the Tank Engine was incredible I’d always found the Henry-gets-bricked-into-a-tunnel episode a bit unsettling, too.
Shame that was the last one EVER, but I’ll be interested in seeing what he does next.

I’m hoping this champions special doesn’t mean that there won’t be any new uk ones.
There will be new ones.
It is quite easily one of the best things on TV. The song task in series 5 was great, as was the exotic sandwich one in series 4 where they didn't find out until they had made it that they then had to eat it. It's also great when they add in a rule for only one of the contestants like the candle one where Mark Watson couldn't say any words that contained the letters in Taskmaster.

I've booked tickets to go and see his Live show next year. If it's anything like Modern Life is Goodish, then it shouldn't disappoint.
Noice I'm seeing him at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham! His recent stand up shows have been quite similar (he's been using PowerPoint presentations in them for *years*), so I'm expecting good things.
The MaskTaster challenge last night was brilliant! I love when they do food tasks. The sandwich one mentioned above is a favourite, as is an early challenge where Alex had to taste the dishes and someone had used dog food. Also the mystery pie challenge where they made Alex eat toothpaste
Anyone else watching McMafia? I'm up to episode 4 and it's pretty good so far.
I see a lot of people touting this guy as the next Bond, but I don't see it myself. He's a bit too public schoolboy looking, doesn't seem to have that hard edge you'd expect from a Bond.
