Well Merlin is definitely better than Robin Hood (then again, what isn't)

\O/ RED DWARF!

Amazing news! So, so pleased. Series 8 gets way more stick than it deserves!

Series 7 and 8 still piss over 90% of Sitcoms anyways.

RED DWARF!

Bloody fantastic!

Its all thanks to Dave repeating it none stop, a new generation of dwarfers have shown enough interest for it to be created. Shame its only four half hour eps and even then only two of them are really shows...

Advance Review: With Dr. Who on a sabbatical this year (save for a couple of one-off specials), the BBC has drafted in this medieval adventure to fill their coveted autumn primetime, early Saturday evening slot previously dominated by the adventures of the Time Lord.

Of course, Dr Who was never in the autumn slot, you slack-jawed bunch of research-deprived idiots.

But it's bound to be rubbish... Craig Charles is going to be too busy raping and smoking crack to take part.

I just don't get Merlin. This adaptation seems to have him as 12 years old when he met Arthur and Arthur is portrayed as a complete nob end.

Seems like the BBC have just tried to find some excuse to get viewers with a cheap Harry Potter clone.

I am finding it quite watchable, not great though, and it feels a bit like Smallville.

Anyone looking forward to the new series of Robin Hood, again a pretty average series considering the older interpretations, but not that bad. I think the BBC are bringing out too many 'light' series which just are not gritty and realistic enough.

Anyone a fan of travel documentaries should watch Paul Merton in India, his earlier series 'Paul Merton in China' was quite good, as he showed a different side of China and will be following the same format for India.

I'm really liking Merlin, surprisingly. It's charming. It's well shot. It's occasionally quite well written. It's got a fit bird in it. What's not to like?

The fact that they use an effeminate French castle, rather than a manly English one for a start.

That said, I quite like it, although it is very light, and completely murders the Arthurian legend.

Merlin's tosh, but it's entertaining and inoffensive tosh.

It does look like it's set in Disneyworld though.

What's it like? I haven't seen it. Does it follow Mallory's Le Mort D'Arthur? Best adaptation I've seen of the Arthurian legend is John Boorman's Excalibur.
