Well there's not much in the conversion to strawberry float up, considering how theatrical Uncharted is. That being said, it probably won't do the game(s) justice.

Nathan Fillion as Drake would be great, but the original cast from the games would be perfect.

What a crock of gooseberry fool. But then, it was never going to be any good.

It was never going to win an Oscar but it could have been made into an enjoyable adventure film. With this latest bit of news though, I doubt it will even manage that.

Yep, because the original Uncharted was so full of hardcore violence and strong language. Oh, and Drake's relatives played such a key role.

How strawberry floating hard can it be to make a film that is faithful to one of the videogames that's most suited to cinema? Honestly.

When Sylvester Stallone wrote Rocky, the big film companies wanted to buy the script and cast a big name like Robert Redford. Stallone said no to everyone, and told them they could only have the script if they cast him as the lead. The first Rocky ended up winning an Oscar and made tons of money. If the Nathan voice actor was cast, sure he'd be an unknown, but he would be able to act the part and sometimes a new face works best with an audience as it seems more authentic then a name actor.

I wasn't expecting to have my favourite cast, but Whalberg is so wooden an actor I don't think he can portray the intelligence or charm of Nathan. It's not me being precious, it's just that I've been amazed by his career considering he is so anodyne. I love the game and music and will go and watch the film, but i fear drake will become a dumb action hero in this.

Should have cast that bloke from NCIS - Michael Weatherly I think he's called.

No-one has heard of Uncharted outside of videogame circles so casting Nathan bloody Fillion (so tired of seeing his name crop up for every fanboy role) would've been commercial suicide. Predicted it'd be Wahlberg because of his ties to the director and personally I think it's an ok choice, anyone that's seen The Other Guys knows that Wahlberg has pretty surprising comedy chops but whether or not he's charismatic enough is another thing - I would've looked at Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper or Josh Holloway
