The slapping gives it a nice rhythm you just can't help click your fingers to.

I wish I didn't find that funny, but there is something about the way the slaps start to speed up towards the end that gets me.

For the record, I'd be the first to admit I'm a knob.

I laughed. It's the silly accent, the slap and the fact that once you realise it's repeating you know the slap's coming round again. I couldn't help but chortle.

Now I feel bad.

EDIT: Just watched it again and I couldn't stop laughing. Considering the subject matter, surely they road tested it before they put it out?

Not really, not in a "omg abuse isn't funny" kind of way but in a "I have much funnier abuse videos" kind of way.

It was the slap and the way it cycled at a faster speed as it went on.

I'm sorry.

It's not funny at all. Maybe you laugh when you're nervous?

I found the constant slapping to be really disturbing, quite honestly.

Well I laughed, probably because the title encouraged me too. I don't know how I'd react if I saw it for myself - probably still laugh.

Well, I would have thought the vast majority of people wouldn't actually find it remotely funny. :| I despair that so many on here think child abuse is a laughing matter. Says a lot about how desensitised a lot of us are, I reckon.

Not funny at all, but I find it quite jarring and irritating.

Barnado's is a great charity though.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I'd usually find that sort of thing funny but that actually disturbed me a bit. The "I dont no wot it sez" bit raised a smile which was quickly erased by her jacking up.

I didn't find it particularly humorous. Disturbing, if anything. If the advert intends to surprise, it certainly achieves.

No one is actually laughing at child abuse. Just the absurdity (word?) of the advert. I'm sure there are better ways of conveying their message than do make a tune of slapping a child across the head.
