Found out that I had £12 credit on my ShopTo account so decided to use it on this.

I was going to hold off buying it until I'd finished Arkham Knight, but...I'm 70% through the main story so figured that was close enough :shifty:

Just got one of my favourite characters killed :fp:

Ashley. Sent her to investigate the voice on the way to catch up with Mike and got her head twisted off by a Wendigo

Why does no-one mention where they are with these spoilers tags? :dread:

Think I've just done chapter 6:

Matt's dead :dread: I've lost Emily in the mines, but I'm hoping she's still alive even though she's a bit of a bitch. Just got to the second Saw game style bit. Looks like Chris needs to shoot himself!

Just started Chapter...9

Disappointed that regardless of what you do with that first Wendigo encounter, the stranger still gets killed. :|

Blew his flamethrower up, which may come back to bite me... :dread:

"Understand the palm of my hand, bitch!" She dies next though. No-one slaps Ashley and lives.

The wolf  He'd best not die.

Cracker of a game this is!

Got to chapter six last night. I'm just doing a play through at the moment, so I don't really give a monkey's who dies at the moment. Then I'll do a proper one, different choices etc the next time. (Maybe I should wait until Halloween?! Proper horror gaming! )

Are you playing this on a friend's PS4 or did you buy one just to play this?

Yes?

FINISHED. So good

only one proper death Matt in the mines. Letdown.

My shaky hands really didn't help in the finale :slol: Just had to put the controller on the floor. I wasn't having them all die thanks to my caffeine addiction :shifty:

Kept the wolf alive too, which is probably my greatest achievement in the whole game.

Josh's hallucinations with the pig and the dead sisters was creepy as chuff :dread:

Missed a whole load of clues and totems and stuff, so I'll probably start another run through tomorrow.

Started this tonight and up to Chapter 6 already. I thought I was maybe playing it too safe as nothing major was happening but then lots of stuff started kicking off and it all went a bit crazy.

Love the horror genre nods so far, thankfully it's pretty much as you guys described in terms of enjoyment over crapping it when you're playing. I can actually see this getting another play through, so many choices!

Finished! :toot:

That was great, definitely playing through it again...mostly because I bollocksed the last chapter and lost Ashley, Josh and Jessica :fp:, but more importantly, Wolfie

The only death I was a bit miffed at was Josh's. He was killed by the Hannah as the Wendigo because "Sam failed to find an important clue" which meant Josh didn't recognise her (something about her tattoo by the looks of it). I found her bedroom and a photo of her with her tattoo. And a card with her appointment at the tattoo parlour. I can't think of another clue that'd make it any more obvious!

A minor grumble though, really enjoyed it :D

EDIT: Just went back reading everyone else's experiences, good to see it wasn't just me that ended up with a bloodbath on their hands :)

The BIG CLUE is in the same room as you get the butterfly effect notification about missing it. it's a lot more on the nose than just a suspicion about the tattoo ;)

How do people lose so many people in the last chapter? is it just a case of running straight for the lightswitch rather than hiding in the house to let everyone else escape? I found the totem that showed Mike dying in the blaze so that gave the impression he shouldn't be the last one to leave... :shifty:

Frank:

If you kept everyone alive up to that point, I don't think that option will show up until one or two escape first, so it may not be possible to kill the rest in one go.

Regarding the more important clue:
It's just to make Sam realise what's EXACTLY happening to the twins. Even it's not explained to Josh properly. :fp:

I lost three folk before the bit in the cabin, my remaining survivors made it through that in one piece.

Ashley got her head ripped off after thinking she'd heard Jessica.
She hadn't.
Jessica got her jaw ripped off after thinking she could outrun a Wendigo.
She couldn't.
Josh got his brains sprayed across the room after telling Hannah-ndigo to go away.
It didn't.

The first two were stupid decisions and the last one was down to not exploring enough. Just shows how much the game sucks you in when you realise straight away that you shouldn't have done something the way you did!

And done

My survivors were,
Mike, Chris and Emily.

Matt got killed by having his face impaled on a hook. Honestly couldn't see any way out of that. The Butterfly effect thing said he didn't have a weapon, but he fired the flare gun without me even telling him to I think. Also confused as to why a Wendigo would kill him that way when in every other case they've gone for using their bare hands to remove/rip apart people's heads.
Jess got killed because she tried to run. Realised right away it was stupid rather than hiding.
Ashley got her head twisted off for investigating a noise she thought was Jessica. Nobody in the group seemed to notice her missing.
Sam was killed in a bullshit third in a row "Don't move" in the cabin at the end where even though I didn't move it decided to flag up and kill her anyway. Was I supposed to just go straight for the light switch?
Josh got dragged off by Hannah-Wendigo because they recognised each other. Saw him post-credits half turned into a Wendigo and eating a head.

Think I might have to do another playthrough, maybe just use a guide this time for maximum survivors and to find all the clues/totems

Just started my first playthrough now, so tense already! I'm such a pussy. Loving the attention to detail so far though.

Is this game set up in an episodic/chapter like format? It looks like the sort of thing that'd be good to take turns playing a chapter each with the missus.
