Just read the accompanying piece looking at mass shootings globally.

The piece’s kicker: “In retrospect Sandy Hook marked the end of the US gun control debate,” Dan Hodges, a British journalist, wrote in a post on Twitter two years ago, referring to the 2012 attack that killed 20 young students at an elementary school in Connecticut. “Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over.”

Chilling and true. Makes me so sad and angry.

Probably as much as any Brexit protests will ultimately have if we're being honest.

The problem is the people in charge, not a lack of desire within the wider public.

Even for me that last sentiment is chillingly harsh but it is true.

The problem is the NRA gets funding via gun sales in the USA so it's difficult for any anti-gun lobby to get the same kind of funding as the NRA. You can't sell anti-guns.

Basically any gun you buy will come with life time NRA membership. So even if people don't agree with the NRA and want a gun they are forced to fund them if they buy a gun.

Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley - best known for starring alongside her sister in US television programme “Sister Sister” - has revealed her husband's niece was among those killed when a gunman opened fire during college night at a crowded country music bar in California.

Alaina Housley, 18, was murdered in the massacre at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday night.

Tamera and her husband Adam Housley issued a statement, saying: 'Our hearts are broken'.

'We just learned that our Alaina was one of the victims of last night's shooting at Borderline Bar in Thousand Oaks.

'Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner.'

Tamera’s husband Adam Housley, a former correspondent for the Fox News Channel, rushed to the hospital in search for the 18-year-old at 3.30am only to find out she was pronounced dead at the scene.

In most circumstances having someone famous attached to these things tends to bring more coverage, but probably won’t make one iota of difference here.

They can't seriously expect that any judge will let them limit mail-in ballots. But just in case, I think the Democrats nationwide need to work to strengthen election legislation and head off undemocratic gooseberry fool like this before more of it happens.

Mueller must indeed be ending his investigation if he's targeting the first family.

No Bernie. If they are not comfortable voting for a black candidate then they ARE racist.

He's not going to outright state that even if he believes it to be true. It could tank his potential Presidential nomination.

And that's just what the Democrats need, a 79 year old non party member who will pretend that racists are not racist just to secure a nomination.

It's looking increasingly likely that Tuesday was a better night for Dems than it initially appeared. They may well take the seat in Arizona, and based on how much the GOP are complaining in Florida then it's looking like that Senate seat is going to go to the wire.

And of course, if Mueller unseals some indictments today, it would be a very good week indeed. :D

Doesn't really help that neither of those elections mentioned are actually lost yet.

The last thing the world needs is more politicians called Theresa.
