It applies to the transgender issue further up the page too. They are fine with giving liberal gun access to people because it's, by and large, what their side want. But they don't really care about transgender rights as it's not something their voters or anyone in their lives really care about.
And I'm not sure why Republicans are so fearful of transgender people. They had all the furore about someone using a bathroom as an excuse to assault a woman. But as long as trasgender people keep calendars then they'll get away with it anyway.

Let's not compare massive voter suppression along racial grounds with....what do you think the Dems have done that's comparable?
Or compare adding restrictions around weapons designed to kill that are regularly and repeatable used to massacres, and result in death rates multitudes higher than other comparable countries with...wanting to treat Transgender people as people?
This is not a situation where it's in anyway acceptable to present both sides as bad as each other.
