This is as good a chance as any for the 360 and PS3 to force the Wii into third place.

Does the Wii have anything of note to boost hardware in March?

360 and PS3 share BFBC2 and FFXIII, and the PS3 has GoW3 and MLB 2010.

There's definitely a real chance of Wii being pushed to third, I'd like to see it to because they'll probably dominate the summer with the lineup they have.

When's Gran Turismo out?

Eugh, that bloody game :fp:

Maybe they plan to put it head-to-head with Halo (or something like that)

FFXIII > GoWIII > FFXIII

Hardware though I think it'll shake out to be

Wii > PS3 > XBOX360

Pretty much what I reckon too, if they sort the supply out. I've read some comments that they are still constrained which is helping the 360 ff bundles sell over there.

in April with Splinter Cell i think it'll back to wii > 306 > ps3.

It's hard to predict anything regarding the Wii's performance, but even if it does pick-up slightly in March I think the 360 and PS3 will have enough to beat it out.

The PS3 especially is hitting a large number of different demographics in March - Online FPS fans, GoW fans, Final Fantasy fans, baseball fans... They're casting a large net.

Platinum debuted at 805k last March.
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl sold a combined 1.75m in 14 days in April 2007 (Diamond 1.045m, 712 Pearl)
I'm having trouble finding first month Fire Red/Leaf Green numbers, but apparently they sold over a million combined first month.

FFXIII, BFBC 2 and GoW3 will all sell more than a million copies this month.

Pokemon to come 4th (if you count all SKUs together of every game).

That's 2.3m in the US. Time to rethink NPD March predictions.

BFBC2 > FFXIII > GoWIII > BFBC2 > FFXIII - headed and footed by XBOX360.

Is the ps3 version of ff13 doing much better than 360 over there, rather closer like here? I know vghartz said so but they're not worth reading.. look at their supposed feb sales before NPD. i thought it might be 60-40 to it? much higher than that then?

Yeah..for some reason I thought that was just the US being as, usually, that region is more forthcoming with data and they are talking in dollars. My bad.

I would have thought the divide would be bigger in the US. I don't know what the sales breakdown is as of now though.

Might want to revise your predictions again. FFXIII has apparently already sold over 1 million copies in the US alone (that is that US alone this time).

Not that I can see for those US figures.

There was a split for the first week UK sales (54% to PS3).

EDIT - Not sure if this is true (can't find a legit source for it), but I've seen something like 60-40 (in favour of PS3) for worldwide (not including Japan) sales so far...

we only have vghartz to go on then. They tend to make it up but they'veprobably guess the right split this time. Though with the USA being so 360 focused i'd have thought we'd have had a bigger gap than them but seemingly not.

One million though.. doesn't seem much for both formats. I reckon God of War will be number one this month then.
