They went in with that episode. Great resolution to the trial too.

Shots Fired S01E01, Wednesdays in the US.
From Gina Prince-Bythewood (“Beyond the Lights,” “The Secret Life of Bees,” “Love & Basketball”) and Reggie Rock Bythewood (“Notorious,” “New York Undercover,” “Get on the Bus”), SHOTS FIRED is a 10-hour event series that examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings in a small Southern town, providing an explosive autopsy of our criminal justice system.
When JOSHUA BECK (Mack Wilds, “The Wire”), an African-American Sheriff’s deputy, kills an unarmed white college student, a small town in North Carolina is turned upside-down. Before the town has a chance to grapple with this tragedy, the neglected murder of an African-American teen is brought to light, opening wounds that threaten to tear the community apart.

I feel like the reward challenge at the start was pointless and coffee isn't that great an advantage. With such an action-packed episode this could have been cut and the time spent better elsewhere. Just give the coffee reward to the winner of immunity.
I loved the twist of two tribes voting out one person, but in hindsight it is a bit unfair. The two tribes should have been able to spend an hour together after the immunity challenge so that everyone has the opportunity to talk with the other tribe and make moves that will see them progress through the game. The way it played out there wasn't really anything Malcolm could have done to save himself.
Tai finding an idol really mixed things up. I wasn't sure that sharing it with the group would be the best move as nobody in this game is loyal, they will use good moves as reasons to not keep you around. However, the fact they voted off Malcolm has really weakened Sandra's tribe now and I suspect that group will lose most of the challenges from here on.
Ozzy still proving himself as quite the beast at challenges, but with his pony tails all I could think was that he looks like Kristie from Australian Survivor
CBS has given early renewals to 16 returning series for the 2017-2018 season: 5 comedies (returning Life In Pieces and Mom, freshmen Kevin Can Wait, Man With a Plan and midseason entry Superior Donuts); 8 dramas (returning NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, Scorpion and Madam Secretary, and freshmen Bull and MacGyver); 1 reality series (Survivor); and 2 newsmagazines (60 Minutes, 48 Hours).
They join CBS’ previously renewed top comedy The Big Bang Theory and top drama NCIS for a total of 18 CBS series already picked up for next season.
What is missing from the list? Veteran dramas Elementary and Criminal Minds, comedy 2 Broke Girls and reality stalwart The Amazing Race as well as third-year comedy The Odd Couple, sophomore Code Black and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and freshmen The Great Indoors, Pure Genius, as well as midseason entries Doubt and Training Day.

Absolutely gutted that Malcolm went home - Nuku will definitely lose from now on unless there is another swap coming - they have arguably the two weakest challenge performers left in the game in Jeff and Sandra, both are liabilities. Michaela and JT are good in challenges but I think it'll be too much. Sandra already knows that JT screwed Nuku over by telling Brad their votes were going onto Sierra, so JT has basically ended his own game at this point unless there is another twist.
That Ozzy/Kristie comparison hadn't hit me but now I can't unsee it
strawberry floating Tai. He ruined his first season and now he's started on this one.
Brad's strong edit is continuing, if it keeps up he's going to be a top contender to win it all.
Regards the tribal council, the thing I didn't under is why they put their votes on Sierra. If they know Hali is on the outs then why not vote for her as she is the least likely to find an idol or have one handed to her by someone else on Mana. Nobody's jumping ship to save Hali and JT might have not decided to tip Brad off as JT had no relationship with Hali.

Margaret Wells struggles to reconcile her roles as brothel owner and mother to daughters Charlotte and Lucy. When her business comes under attack from Lydia Quigley, a rival madam with a ruthless streak, Margaret must fight back even if it means losing her family and possibly her life.
Alice (Jenna Elfman, Dharma and Greg, Friends with Benefits, EDtv) is a fiercely independent career woman whose life is turned upside-down when she meets the love of her life–a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as a child suddenly reappears to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.

Good Fight was excellent this week after being not very good last week. Which is just as well for CBS because it's literally the sole hook of their streaming service until Star Trek appears and that looks like it won't be good.

Thought this week's episode of the Expanse was the finale but there's still 3 more to go. Never knew the running order was bumped up to 13. I was wondering throughout the episode about why it didn't feel like a season-ender at all.
Great episode, regardless. Bobbie is becoming one of my favourite characters.

Bobbie is indeed awesome although my favourite character is Avarasala, she turns swearing into an art form.
