As a comedy it shot itself in the foot by making every ep about a boring relationship

It might be worth giving the new season another chance. The people running the show acknowledge the mistakes they've made last season and say they're going to attempt to fix their problems:

Season 3 was a mixed bag. The way they handled Nick and Jess was going well until they pulled the rug out from under everyone just for the hell of it. They made a big deal out of them saying 'I love you' only for it to all be over by the end of the season. Schmidt was underused too, he came off as a monumental prick early on and the Jess's sister story was pants.
That said Coach's return was a big success and Winston is now easily the show's MVP. After two good seasons I definitely want to stick with it, and 3 was hardly awful.
Edit: That article does make it sound like they're going full flanderisation with Nick and Winston - "He's a strawberry floating idiot" - "He's totally crazy!"

The constantine pilot was pretty bad, I hope the show actually improves and it isn't just overeager critics.

One thing I wondered with Constantine is, why he's got a Welsh accent? I know the actor is from Swansea, but, I thought Constantine was like cockny or scouse or something.
