Finished A Series of Unfortunate Events which I loved. NPH and Patrick Warburton were far better than expected.

I really enjoy Lucifer too. Fun to watch although nothing like the graphic novel it is based on.

I fear it will be cancelled though. :(

Yeah it's a great show. It's very loosely based on the graphic novel isn't it but it's fun. It was my replacement for castle but I find it obviously a bit darker. Fingers crossed it won't be cancelled just yet, it got taken up on amazon in the UK which is good.

I know this is an old US show but I only noticed last night that all of seinfield is on amazon prime. It's such an old show but is still so good.

I agree, blitzed it over the weekend  I've forgotten most of what happened in the books, but it's surprisingly good TV

Fox stupid scheduling is why I fear it will get cancelled.

I finished up all three season of Black Sails. WOW that was brilliant! I highly recommend it.

I went in expecting it to be cheesy and meh, but it's actually genuinely better than most other shows at the moment.

Season 1: Weakest season but after a fairly slow first half it has a couple of truly epic sea battles in the second half.
Season 2: Steps it up quite a bit and is genuinely one of the best seasons of TV ever. A lot of the 'boring' bits in Season 1 actually get paid off massively here. The only minor niggle I had was that the one-eyed pirate was too awesome to be killed off that early!
Season 3: In terms of production and stunts this raises the bar once again. There is a particularly awesome 'one-shot' chase scene. It's gets much darker than previous seasons and there is a lot of great character progression. I slightly preferred Season 2 but this sets things up very nicely for Season 4 which is going to be the last season.

I can't wait for season 4 which starts in only a week or two! :D

The finale of Season 2 was the high point for me, I did think Season 3 dragged a bit in places though

That's weird, what's the point of that.

The Mick's giving me nostalgia, it's the first show in years that Fox had strawberry floated up the scheduling for without reason.

They're airing the eps completely out of order and sometimes at a rate of two a week. Shame because it's been good, especially when it does a standard family sitcom plot and takes it to dark places.

The Good Place - 1x12

Holy motherforking shirtballs - well that's how you set up season 2

DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN

Michael's reveal and smile/laugh actually hurt :(

Had no idea it was coming - but makes fantastic sense in hindsight. Lots of the problems/flaws in the system (Tahini did good things, but never stopped bragging, Chidi had good intentions but never DID anything due to indecision. How do you reconcile actions/intent with those two) people had presented as flaws in the show;s internal logic - they were actually clues hiddin the plain sight

The Scream Halloween thing

Same thing as last season, people acting suspicious are red herrings whereas the one person not acting suspiciously is actually the killer. Totally obvious the second we meet Alex in the shop when he's fawning over Emma. Waste of 90 minutes.

Also the writing on this, is it written to purposefully make Emma seem totally brainless?

Killer runs out of room, 2 seconds later there is a knock on the door on other side of the room and she opens it. strawberry floating dumbass.

Wow you weren't wrong, that was a superb season finale. It's a textbook example of the perfect plot-twist, enough misdirection so you didn't guess it but it's completely fair to what's gone before and it deepens the show going forward.

-The creepy clown house! How did we ever believe that was heaven?

Ted Danson's heel turn was delightfully acted.

The Good Place
was a fantastic new show and I hope it gets renewed. After a season of that quality it deserves it.

Just finished season 1 of The Expanse; really rather good! Can't believe how they ended the season, good job I've only got a couple of weeks for season 2.
