I thought both parts were really good. Lots of alliances being broken and the game is much more interesting when you don't know who is on who's side.

Bit gutted to see Ozzy go already, even though he doesn't appear to do any strategizing so I don't think he could win anyway. Debbie being the one to come up with that plan and even using the double vote to ensure it happened was a bit out there. Those sorts of plays are great because even if you don't like Debbie (I don't) you can't disagree that she has influenced the game. If she somehow gets to the final at least she made moves on her way, unlike Ozzy.

Zeke is definitely playing too hard. I don't see how he can get to the final now. He was already a huge target after the Verner reveal and then he goes and starts betraying everyone.

Tai has to be a strong favourite even without his TWO idols. Something has to go seriously wrong for him not to get to the final.

I can’t put my finger on why but I felt this double episode was a little lacklustre, it’s kind of how I’ve felt about the entire season so far to be honest. I think it’s at least partially down to all the best characters and players being booted early on and post-merge we’re left largely with some rather uninteresting/annoying players. The Ozzy boot encapsulated this sense of fatigue because of the way it came about. Debbie suggested it, we aren’t shown if there was a reason behind it, and the majority went along with it. Despite there being 11 players left there’s only about 3 that are interesting (Brad, Cirie and Zeke), 3 that are just straight up annoying (Sierra, Debbie and Tai), Aubry is good but is not getting any screen time and the rest I don’t care about. Some other random notes:

-Tai won’t get to the end in this season because he isn’t cut-throat enough.
-Nice to finally see Cirie get her breakout episode this season, long may it continue.
-Interesting to see that the other players see Sierra as the Alpha in the Sierra/Brad relationship whereas we the viewers have been shown it the other way around.

According to The Sun, HBO are bringing back Spitting Image for the US audience...a programme ITV should have brought back many years ago.

This. Read all including the latest which was superb. And echoing Chalky on the finale, I'd guessed before the 2nd season started that it would end on that section of book 2 just like season 1 ended halfway through.

I was expecting the investigator to appear at the end of that episode which would have been a huge cliffhanger.

The Handmaid’s Tale S01E01, Wednesdays in the US.

Adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Facing environmental disasters and a plunging birthrate, Gilead is ruled by a twisted fundamentalism in its militarized ‘return to traditional values'. As one of the few remaining fertile women, Offred (Elisabeth Moss) is a Handmaid in the Commander’s household, one of the caste of women forced into sexual servitude as a last desperate attempt to repopulate the world. In this terrifying society, Offred must navigate between Commanders, their cruel Wives, domestic Marthas, and her fellow Handmaids – where anyone could be a spy for Gilead – all with one goal: to survive and find the daughter that was taken from her.

Great News S01E01, Tuesdays in the US.

Getting along with office colleagues can be rough, but working with your mom? That's a whole different story, and it's the headline for Katie Wendelson (Briga Heelan, "Ground Floor," "Undateable Live"), a smart, ambitious news producer at "The Breakdown," a national cable news show that shoots in Secaucus, NJ.

Katie was raised by an overly involved mom who always told her she was destined for greatness. But now at 30 and feeling stuck in her career, Katie is starting to have some doubts. Meanwhile her mother, Carol (Andrea Martin, "SCTV," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Hairspray Live!"), is also looking for a change. After 30 years of being a stay-at-home mom, Carol decides that it's never too late to follow your dreams and lands an internship at her daughter's news show. This is Katie's worst nightmare, until she comes to realize that with her biggest cheerleader at her side, she and her mom both might just make it after all.

Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992, Friday 28th April. Documentary that day in the US.

Academy Award-winner John Ridley has teamed up with ABC News’ Lincoln Square Productions to produce a feature-length documentary titled “Let It Fall: LA 1982-1992,” about the Los Angeles uprising of April 1992. The two-hour documentary is scheduled to air on the ABC television network in the spring of 2017, pegged to the 25th anniversary of the rioting, looting and gun violence that unfolded after the verdict in the Rodney King case.

The gripping documentary begins a decade before the Rodney King Riots and unspools the stories of individuals caught up in growing tension. It features interviews with people from the diverse communities who came to be involved: black, white, Hispanic, Korean and Japanese Americans, as well as police commanders, patrolmen and members of city government.

A bit sad to see Bates Motel go but such a perfectly formed series which really stepped up its game in the last couple of seasons. A very good finale with a couple of minor issues and great performances from the 2 leads throughout the series.

I'm really enjoying the second season of Into the Badlands, its a little bit cheesy and mindless but its extremely watchable, plus the Widow (Emily Beecham) is ridiculousness attractive.

No but when it's good it's very good and the cast is excellent. The early seasons are the worst though.

It's good but never quite reaches the same level as The Thick Of It. Well worth a watch though.

MTV’s “Scream” Being Rebooted With Queen Latifah

We told you earlier this year that MTV was planning on completely rebooting the “Scream” television series, and today brings some interesting new details about the show’s future.

THR confirms today that none of the cast members from the previous two seasons will be coming back for the six-episode third season of “Scream,” which just nabbed Brett Matthews (“The Vampire Diaries,” “Supernatural”) as its new showrunner. Additionally, Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty have come aboard as executive producers via Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment banner.

The new season will feature a new cast, storyline and location, and THR notes that it will be “less white” and “more inclusive” than what we’ve seen from the series so far. They write, “the series looks to put a new spin on a proved concept that has not been embraced on the small screen.”

Utter insanity. Reboot the show fine but don't do it before you've finished the first story.

Survivor
I guess this was an OK episode. If this had turned into a Pagonging then it could have been a truly bottom tier season but that doesn't seem so likely now. Certain players are going to have to become more flexible with their strategy.

Still relatively meh on the season as a whole thus far though.

Pretty sure I've identified 2 of the final 3 (if it is a final 3)
now as well.
