What a mental season
Brooklyn nine nine, the Expanse, and now Lucifer, all cancelled and then saved
Nothing like this has happened before right?

Also Season 3 of the Expanse, I think this is possibly the greatest season of TV Sci Fi ever

I'm loving it so far, aside from the slightly altered bit here and there they're remaining quite close to the source material.

I'm not so keen on the casting of Melba though, I imagined her being younger and smaller, hence her need for her combat stim implant that she's used a few times now

Take Two S01E01, Thursdays in the US.

From Terri Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe, the creators and executive producers of ABC's highly popular series Castle, comes this upbeat detective series that follows Sam Swift (Rachel Bilson), the former star of a hit cop series whose epic breakdown is broadcast to the public and sends her to rehab. Desperate to restart her career, she talks her way into shadowing lone-wolf private investigator Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian) as research for a potential comeback role. Though Eddie resents the babysitting gig, high-spirited Sam uses the skills she learned as an actor playing a cop and proves herself to be surprisingly valuable.

I read it and love it, but we are in off season!

Oh last weeks finale of the Expanse was fantastic, loved it to bits. That said I can see why they cancelled it, as it is a good place to walk away. However I am super glad we are going to get more, I cannot wait to see where it goes next.

Sat, I never got to talk to you about Ghost Island. What did you think?

Also, Survivor New Zealand S2 has been pretty good and Survivor South Africa S6 is supposed to be strawberry floating amazing (but I'm holding off until it's finished so I can binge it).

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I enjoyed Ghost Island but in hindsight it was just an average season. Probably let down by the edit - some people had zero screen time. The ghost island concept also was a bit disappointing. Some of the idols and rewards on it were fine, but I didn't like that the game was pure chance, and whether you even play the game was pre-decided by producers. The ending was fitting, two worthy winners so was happy for either to take it.

I have caught up with Survivor South Africa S6 over the last couple weeks and it is fantastic. Not quite up there with Australia or the best US seasons, but better than the last couple of US seasons. Definitely worth watching.

I will check out the new New Zealand season at some point too. I gave up on last year's halfway through but I've heard they fixed most of the issues for this year. Probably will wait for Australia to return first though - I have a feeling it's going to be another good one!

I watched the first couple of episodes of S1 last year but couldn't really get into it. Most of the characters seemed pretty fundamentally unlikable to me!

It’s based loosely on real events, and all that is turned on it’s head as the show progresses - the only one who I think is fundamentally a pain in the arse is actually the most sympathetic one at the start, Debbie.

I may try and give it another go, but with so many shows to choose from these days it's hard to commit to something which doesn't necessarily grab you fairly quickly!
