Got an M&S curry for me and the wife, then we'll probably hop on the good foot and do the bad thing (watch TV or numbly scroll through social media in comfortable silence).

Porn Hub Premium is free today, in case you can’t get down to the local dogging meet tonight.

My wife and I don't normally do anything for this day.

However.....

My wife bought me a card. I have bought her nothing.

The guilt is consuming me from the inside out.

Yeah nothing makes you feel like more of a piece of gooseberry fool let-down than that. I know it well :(

Always like to do something nice but it’s not to be, this year. She understands though. Hopefully something towards the end of the year.

I'm stuck in two minds now.

I suppose I should go and get a card, but it will feel so forced. It's almost like I'm trying to buy back that moment of surprise.

The other alternative is to do nothing as I had intended. I'm still making her risotto tonight. It's one of my signature dishes.

The wife and I haven't bothered with Valentine's Day for years and I've personally never took much interest in it. However, she has been a bit poorly so I got her some red roses and a bottle wine to cheer her up.

No, you'll have to surprise her with something truly unexpected and thoughtful now. Sorry dude, those are the rules.

We have exchanged cards and are going to see our daughter in hospital. After that we're going to lunch. That's about it.

I am Forever Alone, so I will be doing nothing, as always.

Though, to be honest, I think Valentine's day is a load of crap, so even if I wasn't alone, I wouldn't be fussed about doing anything. It's not very romantic to do something because some holiday means you feel obligated.

I'm going out tonight. Meeting a girl, we'll end the night with a kiss. Unfortunately it's a rehearsal for a play, she's actually got a boyfriend. Yay Valentine's Day.
