I love pheasant, I always have after a shoot

I will expect to be wined and dined later (just the dined as I don’t drink alcohol)

Valentine's day is bullshit, never do anything for it.

PSG-Real with a few mates. Perfect.

...it was pheasant with a blackberry sauce (which was actually great and had whole cooked blackberries in it), mash potato, savoy cabbage

I’ll be making the GF watch that for Valentine’s Day. My gift to her is that I deem her fit to watch the match with me. :datass:

I tend to buy my wife flowers periodically (maybe once a month if she's good) so I really balk at seeing the same flowers I'd buy for £5 going for at least double that around Valentine's Day. It's a total con and yet people just hoover them up because we all know that the only way to show someone that you love them is to spend lots of money on material things on the specific day that corporations dictate.

We dont bother with it and just get each other a card. Her birthday is next month anyway so can go out then when places aren’t as busy.

Working tonight though and smelly people have actually booked meals for valentines so I have to do actual work.

Took the fiancé to watch football at Fratton Park on what turned out to be a double-date with PPM and his wife. Not able to see each other today due to currently being based in different places and both having work. Not the most romantic valentines day - I forgot to bring her card to football and bought her a roll of fruit pastels instead. Damn - I'm a keeper.

+1 for the social media hate. If I, or she, posted anything public and tagged on social media about how much we love each other on Valentines Day, I'd seriously worry for our relationship as would only be able to assume that it was done through guilt or physical sickness.

We don't bother. I just go mad buying all the half price chocolate in the shops tomorrow instead.

I bought a box of those strawberry and cream Lindors because they were half price at the petrol station. Does that count? Although I'll probably eat most of them myself.

I'll be watching Liverpool-Porto. She is going to yoga.

Personalised card from me, our son and the cat (I've been doing quite creative cards for her recently, made her a birthday card from him with a big piece of silly, over the top highbrow prose which started "Dear Mater..."). Going to get her some stuff for Pilates as well but I'll let her choose that.
