Seriously. It keeps me awake at nights. I just don't understand this. Don't they see what a beautiful place this world would be if they wouldn't use so much unnecessary punctuation?

The other day, while in the city centre, I got stopped by a man who was trying to persuade people to support Amnesty International. I got furious! You're standing here, I told him, whining about political prisoners and people being tortured - in a time when many people are wasting exclamation marks like there's no tomorrow! Priorities, I yelled. It's all about priorities. He then saw the error of his ways and walked off slowly, his head hanging in shame.

Don't waste those precious punctuation signs, people.

It's grammatically 'incorrect' to use any more than one, in the sense that it's widely recognised that in formal writing, you'd never need to use more than one exclamation mark. For writing casually say, on the internet, you could use as many as you wanted to achieve the desired effect (which would almost certainly be to wind JohnnyK up).

Yeah, gotta hate it. There's where people use loads of exclamation marks!!! and no other punctuation or capital letters!!! and they put lol and haha in every single sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha
