Is it possible to use an onboard ATI graphics controller with a PCI-E GPU to get 4 monitors (2 VGA and 2 DVI)? I am looking at this motherboard MSI 760GM-E51. If I plugged a Radeon GPU into the motherboard could I use both VGA ports and both DVI ports to drive 4 monitors? Does crossfire technology apply to multiple monitors, or does it only apply to 3D rendering?

If this is for gaming, forget it. The sweet spot is 3 monitors, and is best handled by the eyefiniti tech build into modern ATI cards. Otherwise the middle of your display is occupied by a monitor bezel.

I don't know how many monitors/gpus you'd need to make use of it as a productivity screen.
