Is the tiny user base going to be worth the cost of porting, though?

Is it going to be a tiny user base?

Sure, its not going to be anything like the 360/PS3 install base, but you are probably looking at a few million within the first few months, if it does well 10 million after the first year. And those are the people probably more likely to be buying games too.

So I presume it depends on how much it ends up costing to port games. If a relatively small team can port stuff within 6 months or so, its probably going to be worth the cost to do it.

Just finished it again. On PC this time.

Brilliant and a great looking game. Being able to play the catwoman stuff was good (my son had the code last time, none of that crap here).

May try the DLC when it's cheap.

So the next game is apparently a prequel, and about the Justice League.

How much replay value is there in Arkham City? I want to play again, but not if it's exactly the same. Are there side missions? I don't think I did any of them.

You get Achievements for playing it again, and as New Game+. I think it is a bit harder, and the side quests and Riddler stuff can easily add ten hours of gameplay. I don't think there is any new story stuff though.

I watched some of Arkham City on youtube, and the first thing I wish is that the world was more alive like GTA or Prototype games. There's no bystanders, no mindless carnage to cause. I don't really care if it goes against the ethos of what Batman is, but the freedom to be a caped twat would have added a whole lot more to even the first game.

Fired this up for the first time in aaaages yesterday, it's so damn good.

Finally finished off the riddler trophies and combat challenges so everything is at 100% now. Just need to do the challenge maps and new game +

A more focused storyline would be great. Playing through this now and just encountered Robin after saving Mr Freeze. I would like to explore Gotham City though and cruise around in the Batmobile... still this game is awesome if a bit repetetive. So many characters though, it's awesome. Not sure if I like it more than Asylum yet...

The GOTY edition is coming to PC early September, which I'm quite happy about.

Are we getting a GOTY edition for 360 and PS3? I see Amazon are listing US versions of it. I'm tempted to get this at £18, but if there's a new edition with DLC on the way I'll hold out.

Fairly sure that they were announced but they're not due until about October, after the PC version anyway.
