They get access to Blade Runner, Superman, The Matrix and maybe a new Sheep Dog and Wolf

Lord of the Rings? could be interesting to see what they can make from the franchise, hopefully an Oblivion syle game. Also more batman games is always a plus, as Arkham Asylum was fantastic fun.

That is brilliant news. I wonder what else they'll do as well as AA2. Exciting.

Other than adding to the moves that Batman does when you pull off a finisher thing and such, I hope they don't even touch the combat system. It's nigh on perfect.

As for the stealth sections, they need a complete overhaul, and I don't wanna see any of that charge-batargang-dive rubbish either.

More villains outed

More Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 voice actors have outed their work on the sequel, following this morning's slip up that Two-Face will appear in the game.

Actor Maurice LaMarche is next to out his Arkham Asylum 2 post, stating in an interview; "I'm about to go in and do Mr. Freeze for Arkham Asylum 2."

When asked to give a taste of what Mr. Freeze will sound like, LaMarche claimed, "To tell you the truth, I think, contractually, I can't. I've got to keep it under wraps.

"He's out for blood right now because, err... I can't tell you the situation, but he's actually somewhat a sympathetic character within the framework of the game."

That's Freeze and Two-Face on board for the sequel then. Next up on the PR naughty list is actor Stana Katic, who posted on her Twitter: "Just recorded a character voice on the next Batman video game. Never did that before. Helpful hint: plenty of water and pineapple slices."

She followed up the Tweet with this, before quickly removing both messages: "For those who were asking: I'm voicing Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in "Batman Begins")."

That's at least three villains confirmed for the follow-up then, not including the Joker himself.

Good to see two of those villains in. I can't wait to see what Freeze and Two Face look like.

Regarding Blade Runner, aren't most of the Rights held between Bud Yorkin and Jerry Perenchio ?

Excellent interview with Mark Hamill talking about his involvement with the game and how he was 'the one' for the role. Really passionate about it actually, which is really good to see.

Interestingly he says this will be the last time he plays The Joker...speculate away. Does The Joker get it in Arkham Asylum 2 or, battered and bruised, does he go away for a while and come back later with a different personality? Does he die or does he survive and flee?

The Joker won't die.

Excited about this! :D

Like Songwriter I don't really know much about the Batman Universe so uncovering the villain biographies was really interesting (even if most of them are just standard criminals in a funny suit). Calendar Man though. :fp:

I'm hoping for more Scarecrow bits particularly since his hand grabbed the Titan at the end of the first game.

That was just random, for me it was Bane, and for someone else its Killer Croc.

Oh. Maybe they're all back then? I'd definitely prefer Scarecrow over Killer Croc, his bits were pretty rubbish. Bane had been and gone before I'd even got used to the game so there should be more of him too.

Hamil just doesn't want to do it anymore as I recall. which is a shame because he really does it so well.
Edit: After reading the interview it seems I'm completely wrong, no idea where I got that idea from.

Happy to hear that Freeze is in and they're going with the sympathetic villain role started in TAS. Is Paul Dini writing again?

I was really disappointed that this wasn't at E3. It was pretty much all I wanted to see.

I wouldn't be surprised to see all the information scheduled in OPM & OXM appear sooner - you can usually guarantee the Yanks will have it first.
