This is all still trying to deflect away from the issues raised. At first the journos were scrambling to distract everyone by focussing on the disgusting abuse, when that waned they tried to make gamers look like pricks and now they're trying to generating a love-in with anyone acting any differently being derided.
When game coverage moves to youtube and twitch with a load of dodgy deals being done behind the scenes we can thank the journos. Confidence in your integrity has been repeatedly shaken, do what you can to restore it instead of alienating your readers even further.

Jawa, thank you for posting this video. It would be very welcome however it is the wrong time for it.

Games journalism is obviously far from perfect, lines are crossed and there are a few dodgy things going on here and there. It is nowhere near as bad as some would dearly love to believe though. Thing is you cannot prove games journalism isn't corrupt, and the majority of those who believe it is don't want to believe that is isn't. Endless cycle.

Gaming on the whole is a cancer. Its a state, gooseberry fool piled on top of gooseberry fool.

There are a few gems buried beneath the tides of effluent, but they are so few and far between that its nowhere near enough to redeem the hobby.

Why are you on a gaming forum then if you don't like games or gamers?

See I'm not a big fan of this. It's like saying war is inevitable. Corruption will "always be around" as long as people sit there holding that opinion and blindly accept that it's a thing, not willing to do anything about it. War can't exist without soldiers to fight it, if everyone downed weapons (unlikely situation, because some people just like killing others) just as corruption wouldn't exist if everyone just stopped viewing media that is corrupted. Who's going to pay off a company to review something when nobodies going to read it?

Then take a break from gaming and leave the hobby to people who do enjoy it.

I obviously can't but what's the point in moaning about a hobby you obviously now despise on a forum filled with people who enjoy it?

What is the point with airing grievances and shoddy underhanded practices via a medium in prime position to host such complaints?

The problem is you aren't doing that your just making blanket statements that games are gooseberry fool and gamers are idiots.

Am I supposed to sit here just saying "Everything is great. They keep lying and doing bad things and shortchanging me and taking my money and lying again and delivering half finished products, but everything is great. I really like everyone here too, we should all be best buds. Everything is great." :?:

I didn't say being critical is wrong but you're just constantly negative (about everything as far as I can remember from seeing you post over the years.) and love moaning and seem to want to put a negative spin on everything.
If you honestly think gaming is irredeemably broken then pick a new hobby and inevitably start moaning about that on a forum dedicated to it.
