Has anyone recently taken up the offer to boost their Virgin internet connection from 60mb to 100mb? Can anyone tell me if, by doing this, I committed to a new minimum term contract? I didn't read the smallprint.

Now that I'm about to live on my own and take on responsibility for all the bills I previously shared with my partner, I have to look at any possible way to make savings, and one of these is to downgrade my net connection.

On the other hand, I'll be having a lot of miserable free time on my own so I'll be abusing the heck out of Netflix. Maybe I should keep the speedy connection and make cuts elsewhere...

I definitely won't be getting rid of unblockus - it's not worth saving £2.82 a month and losing all that extra content.

Bastards. If this was in Off Topic it would have got 12 replies by now.

Yeah, you have to commit to a new 12 month contract from the date you upgrade.

So if I ring up and try to downgrade my package they will say no?

They'll probably do it but the price will remain.
