Waiting For The Gas Man

This is the second day that I will have to spend in the house waiting for the gas man (we need to have the meter changed, so it would seem.). The last time he was meant to come, he went to the house next door and then just buggered off in his van !

I feel as if I can't really start anything until the comes (any time between 8am and 1pm) so I am just sitting about the house wasting time.

What do you do when your waiting for the gas man ?

I do nothing, all the German utility people have always been prompt and within an acceptable time frame, the latest anyone has been was 5 mins for the cable guy because he couldnt find a space to park the van...
