I borrowed Gears of War but at the time I was blinded by everyone telling me it was good. What a stupid strawberry floating idea that turned out to be.

Fixed for me. x

I don't really waste money, but I usually end up buying things online that I could probably go without - namely t-shirts and DVD's.

Xbox? I thought about buying an arcade stick when I bought SFAC off Suzz however many months ago. Too expensive.

Last month I put 80% of my wages in my savings account and ended up spending less than £150. I'm going to do the same this month. Looking around me room, there are so many things I could have done without.

Here's to saving money!

After playing my first game in them, and being absoulute dog shite, I would have said the £80 on personalized goalie gloves was a waste of money.

But it's not, since then, I've played awesome in them, they look good, which it turn makes me look good, and they are easily the best gloves I have ever owned.

If you were buying them on a whim then it'd be a waste.

They look pretty nice. But if there's one thing I've learnt about glasses is that it's really, really best if you see and feel them in person.
All too often glasses will look nice online, but feel horrible and look awful in the flesh.

You, sir. Are the voice of reason. I shall wonder about and try on different ones. The last 3 pairs of glases i bought were in Hong Kong and Tokyo, so were always a bit "edgy" which is fine because i only wear them to wtach tv/ see far away.

Well there's not much. I bought Jet Force Gemeni the other week for the old N64, not even touched it yet.

These are my new ones that I'm picking up on friday:

I was wary about the white legs, but they look good on.
Plus they were so comfortable.

I had about 6 pairs of different named glasses in my hand, but these ones stood out.
Got them with reaction lenses and anti-glare coating.... all £160 worth. :?

Booze and cheese?

I suppose I tend to waste a bit on music, although with most purchases I make sure they'll be worthy additions. What with the ease of buying MP3s these days it's hard to resist, especially for 79 or 99p... I've bought some gooseberry fool in the past, but have curbed that majorly since. If I had a job to go with my student loan, I'd need an external hard drive for all them choons, so maybe it's good not to have a job then...? Yay! Conscience cleared!

I bought a load of N64 Mags with redundancy money I got a couple of years ago for about £33, some of which I already had. That could be good coinage wasted, but for the condition they were in, the memories they brought back and because they completed my collection, I win!

Otherwise, I'm too much of a tight bastard to waste valuable gold coins.

And :fp: , because I've just discovered it!

Edit: Just remembered, I bought Super Street Fighter II for the MegaDrive with said redundancy money for about 8 quid on eBay, thinking it was amazing. Turned out nostalgia played a devious bastard trick on me... What a load of shite!

There's no need to be here any longer than necessary. Let's split up, look for survivors, and get out of here.

I have a gaming blog too. Read it if you wish; if you don't I won't take it too personally. Metro 2033 is shite!

I never understood buying big brand names. You give a company say £200, and in return they give you something worth £10 that shows you have £200 to blow?

If any of you want you can give me £200 and I'll walk within earshot of you telling you how rich you are.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular by the way.

Oh, and I can live quite well on £6000 a year all inclusive.

Actually, I'm up for a challenge. Several people on other forums try to live on a small amount a day, ranging from 50p (which is mental) to £2 (very easy, actually). Anyone else up for it?

Obviously it doesn't include travel and other bills. It's mainly food, cigarettes, beer, stuff you buy etc.

If you live at home I imagine it'll be piss easy.
