PlayStation Blog wrote:Everything you do in Watch Dogs 2 is powered by social media. Hacking into cars, unlocking doors, controlling drone tech — it all hinges on the number of followers protagonist Marcus Holloway has during play. And everything you do in Watch Dogs 2 earns you more followers. Think of them like experience points, but modernized for the San Francisco Bay Area.

...That sounds bloody terrible :o  .

I was (am) a fan of the first game, but this just seems like it may be a bit too..."teenager-ish". I am just hoping that it's the terrible marketing and awful write-up by PlayStation Blog, because the actual game clips look good.

Being Ubi you know it's going to be handled in the worst possible way.

It looks good and to be honest I cannot wait to revisit San Francisco again! It would be interesting to play around the city to see how accurate it is and I went there for four nights last year.

It sure does, BOR. I enjoyed the first game and this one looks to be a step up in terms of graphics and gameplay. I just need to avoid reading any more of the the marketing speak as seen on the PlayStation Blog. They made it sound like "I'm bad and breaking down society by sending rebellious texts and gaining dumbass followers"... it was awful!

That vid avoids those kinds of impressions. I'm keen but I'll probably wait for a price drop.

This looks strawberry floating awful. I can't take any of this dude-bro hacking gooseberry fool seriously anymore after watching Mr Robot and playing Quadrilateral Cowboy. "This fuzzy black and white instagram filter lets you look at the world through the eyes of a hacker." I mean, come on. This is hacking for the Pewdie Pie gen.

Looks fantastic and I love the change in tone compared to the first game. I think this and the Dark Souls 3 DLC will probably do me for the rest of the year.

This is my "What the hell is an empeethree?" moment where I lose all understanding of the current generation. I am officially old.

Very good.

I like the look of this. Much more appealing than the super serious, grim tone of the original. With any luck as well, they'll have taken out all the gooseberry fool from that one, and fixed the mechanics up in this. I'll keep an eye on further impressions as it gets closer, but it's already looking very enjoyable.

I'm sure a hacker genius can get away with a ton of gooseberry fool with thousands of followers on the god damn social media.

Bloody hell. This story absolute sucks.

 . I had a bit of that "OMR" too! But, to be fair, I think it could be awful marketing wording rather than the actual game. Read the PS Blog and it could really put you off, but watch the vids and it looks good. I'm in that minority who thought the first game was excellent, so I hope this second take isn't *too* different.

Is it the same character from the first one? Weird how he takes up social media after going much more shady things than "hacking" into computers, like blowing up drain pipes which probably will kill any innocents, gun down baddies and get away with murder from the police by leading them in a car chase several times and probably did billion of dollars collateral damage.

Ubisoft, pls.

Completely different character than the original.
