The great debate - toast? Hot or cold

This morning I decided to change things up a bit and had a cold slice of toast where the butter doesn't melt. It was phenomenal and I forgot how much better toast is like this. I explained this to my girlfriend who said it was Wrong to have cold toast and hot with melted butter was superior.

What's your view on the matter.

If fresh hot buttered toast doesn't walk this then we may as well shut the forum as something's obviously gone horribly wrong.

If you're talking about making toast then letting it go cold on purpose, that's weird. But sometimes I'll make toast and it goes a little cool.

I also enjoy a slice of cold toast occasionally, it tastes much better than nasty lukewarm toast. Hot is best, naturally.

It's an entirely different eating experience. The consistency is different, the butter doesn't melt, it's all very interesting. I suggest all these naysayers take five minutes out of their day and give it a try before declaring it the work of the devil.

Don't get me wrong I don't hate hot buttered toast it's just when you let the toast cool and then have a nice layer of butter on top that doesn't melt it just tastes so good. Cold toast soldiers with dippy eggs are nom nom nom
