Weekend in London

I'm taking my 13 year old daughter to London this weekend. It's her first time there, and I've only been once 20 years ago.

We're going to the Star Wars exhibit and Harry potter studio tour. Any other suggestions of "must see" things especially geeky stuff?

You could see if you can get last minute tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. If you turn up at the box office about 2 hours before the afternoon show they sometimes have some cheap last minute tickets available.

London Dungeon is also really good.

The science museum and national history museums are always great for kids.

Not sure if the harry potter shop is open in soho still, but that was pretty cool.

Go to the Natural History museum, it's the single most awesome place in the whole UK.

Tate Modern, British Museum, one of the many parks, if the weather's good. St Paul's cathedral.

Probably all terrible suggestions for a 13 year old, but there you go.

I only went on the London Eye once on a work outing when I was living/working in London for a few months. It was fantastic as we had our own company pod and several waitresses serving us Champagne for the entire time.

War Museam is great for the WW2 bunker and spinning pram wheel. I presume it's still there.

https://www.shreksadventure.com/london/

http://ripleyslondon.com

https://www.thedungeons.com/london/en/

https://www.madametussauds.com has a marvel and stars Wars exhibition inside.

Ripleys in London is utter gooseberry fool and a complete ripoff for the price of entry, don't do it.

I've never actually been. Discount that recommendation from me, I was just throwing up family activities that I've heard of in London. Everything is over priced there really. Although the joint merlin tickets makes their attractions seem a bit better value.

For stuff like Madame Tussauds you get way better prices booking online in advance than just turning up on the day too.

Tussauds is boring as strawberry float. Total waste of time.

Science Museum/History Museum
Aquarium
London Eye

Take her to a show? Not sure of budget but The Lion King would be magical for a child (I think)

Not sure what teenage girls like...

But London Eye for sure. Maybe Tower of London.

I know someone said no to Ripley's believe it or not, but my gf loved that place. She used to take students there and they all really liked it. Science Museum is cool too. I don't like the NHM as it's very out of date.

Obviously London is home to amazing food, but not sure a kid would appreciate it, so maybe go to Street Feast etc. Loads of options in a nice environment.

Go on Time Out London site and see what events are upcoming too as there is always something to go to.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. On the train now. Might look into the cursed child tickets.

She hates little mix though! Loves k-pop.
