Room temp porridge is actually a thing. (You stick it in a jar with milk and fruit, etc and leave it overnight. It's meant to be pretty tasty due to the oats having softened, or something. I prefer to microwave mine with cinnamon and stevia. Porridge > Weetabix.)

Also, strawberry float microwaving milk for porridge, you have to boil it in a saucepan. You then get a lovely bowl of porridge and enough milk left over for a glorious milky coffee.

For porridge I soak the oats in the mild for 24 hours then very very slowly cook it on tge hob, adding sugar about half way through.

Hahaha try soaking it it takes the lumpiness out, also if you cook it really slowly (like 45 minutes of slow heat) it comes out great and tastes epic.

I just take porridge oats, milk, peanut butter, flax seeds and a smashed banana and cook it for 10 minutes. A bit of maple syrup over the top and it's fine.

If I had 45 minutes to spend on breakfast I'd certainly choose something a bit more exciting than porridge (like a full English).

I can't remember the last time I ate breakfast cereals, if I'm ever up, dressed and in my wheelchair at a time when my first meal of the day can still be considered breakfast then I almost always have toast or a toasted muffin with cheese on it.

As for Weetabix, when I used to eat them I had two but I would only put one in the bowl at once, pour in the milk and eat it as quickly as possible before it went completely soggy then do the same with the second one - I couldn't eat them once they'd soaked up all the milk as the consistency made me retch.

Btw, am I the only one here who can stomach the taste of stevia? (Plant based sweetener.) Raw it tastes quite bitter and is definitely an acquired taste kind of thing, stick it in something warm though and it's lovely. I buy the Truvia brand version.

I can't have stevia since watching Breaking Bad, the risk is too great!

English muffin that is.

I also occasionally have melted cheese on crumpets, which is equally tasty.

Eggy crumpets, with optional bacon on the side, is the king of breakfasts.
