There aren't any spoilers in the title. Neither Nico nor Lewis were the previous WDC.

I don't know why people are still stupid enough to go on the internet/watch TV if they are hoping to avoid the result of the race. If you do and you find out, it's your own fault!

Ah fair enough. I don't follow F1 too closely but was aware that today would decide things so wasn't sure if the Title would ruin it for people still yet to watch the match.

Yeah but seeing in a title is harsh, personally I don't think spoilers should be aloud in titles as you can then just avoid that thread.

No Errkal I'm afraid you're wrong.

We need to encourage people not to come onto this forum if they aren't up to date with any movie ending, sporting event result or Game spoiler.

What with our ever increasing userbase, and immense backlog of people that wish to join this forum, we need to do everything we can to keep people (stupids) away, like Fishfingers said.

It's not a spoiler.

Title updated, I think its fair now as the result is pretty much everywhere. Didn't put it out initially as some people may have been watching it delayed/recorded.

Either way, it was a pretty good race and spoilers of the result certainly don't tell the whole story.

Funny thing F1, if Hamilton had that problem the result would have gone the other way.

I usually following the rule that if I dont want to know a football score; wwe result or whatever then I wont go on grcade or a news site. Also have to avoid certain tv channels. It can be tough sometimes but its very hard to get the balance right between providing discussion for those who have seen something and not spoiling it for others.

Oh and a quick request but can the thread title not be updated until after 10pm. I won't be able to see the race live so I'm trying to avoid spoilers. Thanks.

Cheers lads.

Luckily I hadn't seen anything about the race before settling down to watch the highlights so it didn't really matter.

Evening all. As some of you might recall, there's been a change in forum policy in order to make us easier to find and have more people hopefully stick around having found what they were looking for easier. Part of this includes recreating most threads after 250 pages but in the case of threads such as this one that are more suitable to season long threads, they'd be restarted on a yearly basis.

So, just a reminder to restart this thread at some point, although when that does happen is probably going to be on captain red dogs discretion. I'm not a huge follower of F1 so it might be more suitable to restarting when testing begins for the new season or some other landmark, I'll let you lot sort that out.

I'll let you guys get back to the discussion at hand. :)

Hamilton was on BBC Breakfast this morning. Quite good in that he didn't come across as a complete cock.

Seemed pretty much similar to me - but then I don't subscribe to the view he comes across as a cock anyway.

Death's Head in nearly complimenting Hamilton shocker...

I was gutted we weren't treated to a proper race. It would have been tense as strawberry float had Rosberg's car been running properly, especially with Massa closing in at the end.

Ah well, worthy championship winner, especially after some of his issues earlier in the season.

I feel like I say this every season, but next season should be awesome... :slol:

I think Hamilton is a good driver, just that he seems to want a pop star image rather than that of a racing driver.

Yeah, he should take a leaf from the books of the likes of Eddie Irvine or James Hunt.

Daft as the rule is, I'll probably restart the thread around the time of the McLaren announcement for maximum effect.

I'm not sure about the 200 page thing for this thread. Would it not make more sense to go with each championship, restarting at the first new car launch.

It's been explained several times why it isn't 'daft'. Peculiar? Yes.
Perhaps a season on season approach would be better with sports threads.

but image and pics of him and hiz homies gets him bear sick celeb cred. That's the impression i get from him he does seem to focused on his celeb cred. No denying he is a good driver he has proved that this year just comes across "everyone look at me im famous im a celeb" "and i'm a racing driver looking to release a album" :fp:
