We have huge storms last night's not heard thunder that loud ever!

Amazed it didn't wake the baby up, she slept through without any worry.

Here in south London it's dark, hot and it's absolutely tipping it down.

EDIT 3: The BBC Weather update is reporting dry weather in my area. Even though it has been like the apocalypse for fifteen minutes.

Just came from London and can confirm its insane. As I left the office there was huge cracks of thunder. got off the tube after 4 stops and the rain was crazy. Glad Farringdon has a roof!

Not today, the train got delayed due to someone in the front train going the other way being taken ill.

I didn't mind though, because it's not like the bus was there and drove off when I got to the door.

This weather is nothing compared to Japan.

I loves the rain in Japan. Seeing it fall and simultaneously evaporate off the road. Tee shirt weather, soaked though by dried off soon after. Great fun for running about it.

Bit of a muggy one tonight, hate it. Give me a dry heat any day.

No real hot days here yet, thank God, as I need to buy a portable A/C unit.

I bought my portable A/C unit the other day and since then I've been learning about the wonders of negative air pressure.

I live in a building with basically no vents outside of one in the kitchen and another in the washroom designed to suck air out. However it's a passive system so now with my A/C unit cooling my house (it works really well btw) the air in my apartment cools down and contracts, and that makes my vents which normally suck air out start to pull hot air in.

The result is that as fast as my A/C unit cools the air, hot air from some other apartment rushes in to replace it, and not only that but my washroom now smells like curry.

This also means that just a few minutes after I turn off the A/C the temperature returns to normal.

It's gonna be hitting 28F / 82C in south London during today, tomorrow and Monday. Oh boy :dread:
