Really is stuffy in London tonight, even being right next to the window.

It's still 27 here and it's raining.

AV receiver / consoles / media server probably don't help.

Are these any good then? As in a genuine replacement for central heating/air conditioning?

I think the air filtering is the most appealing part of those things. Having one of those plus regular hoovering or a hoover bot could really improve quality of life, especially cos the allergenic and disabled.

Air conditioning no (far too loud at max settings). My central heating has died and because I refuse to spend thousands on a new boiler I've opted for a couple of these. It's hard to tell at the moment though until winter arrives, but I did try it out quickly the other day and it heated the room up extremely quickly (faster than any radiator) and the thermostat seemed to work well. The heating aspect is very quiet to use. I also don't know how they're going to stack up in terms of cost to run vs. gas.

If nothing else they both look amazing (white and black variants). Probably not worth the £400 asking price though; I paid £306 from Thurgo.

The lightning storm in Leeds last night was pretty nice, it helped cool things down quite a bit.

I think today pretty much was the last day of summer looking at the weather forecast for the next week and a half.

Yesterday was absolutely unbearable. The heat had me passed out by 21:30.
