This is more one for the "annoyance" thread but I cannot stand all these strawberry floaters who get their hose or sprinklers out for hours on end because we've had a little bit of sun. :fp:

Your grass is not going to die because it's got a bit dry and hot FFS! You could deprive grass of sun and water for months and it would spring back the second you gave it a drop of both.

Especially annoying seeing people doing this all the time round our way when we've had messages about conserving water.

Hell there's grasslands where the grass literally burns to ash and after a month or so it all regrows (see Planet Earth (BBC) for this example)

Our lawns are dead and it's great, because it means I don't have to mow them :toot:

Pave it over. What are you using to mow the lawn? I use a petrol mower and I can mow my front lawn (which is pretty huge) in less than an hour.

Get the landlord to do it

The humidity and stuffiness today is diabolical. There isn’t even much sun, it’s just muggy and horrible everywhere.

I took the butter out and it’s soft within literally 5 seconds. Slice cheese and it’s immediately sticking to the knife.

No idea how people put up with it in other countries.

And as for chocolate, you may as well bin everything.

My lawn is artificial and therefore doesn't require mowing. 8-)

On the plus side, I can get the ice cream out of the freezer and it thaws quickly to allow access.

I was thinking this, also don't you have to hoover artificial grass or something? Seems like a lot of work for something that's not even the real thing!

There was a lady who lived on my street when i was a kid who would regularly hoover her real grass lawn.
