I once tried to play tennis in Kenya in summer in the middle of the day.

Astonishingly it didn't go well :fp: .

This.

Is it so hard to understand that people cope with different temperatures differently and some people really suffer with the hot weather?

I've honestly never encountered anyone in any walk of life that has complained about hot weather with the exception of those that work outside so I do find it difficult to understand. I honestly thought everyone enjoyed being able to sit out in the garden, in parks, beer gardens, t-shirt and shorts weather, barbeques, driving with the windows down, etc.

I snowboard so can appreciate a lovely winter's day as much as anyone but your typical winter in this country is cold, wet and windy which means no sitting outdoors, outdoor sports are strawberry floated, getting covered in gooseberry fool taking the dog out for a walk, horrible driving conditions, etc.

I hate hot weather. 20/21 degrees is fine, 27/28+ is gooseberry fool. Hot, unbearable days, sweating, nowhere to shelter from the sun, bedrooms are like greenhouses, night times are strawberry floating atrocious. Windows down = bugs. Wasps. flying ants, flies. Absolute shite.

Give me Spring/Autumn/winter anyway.

Football in the mud is the way it should be played.

I don't understand why there is nowhere to shelter from the sun, there are trees or use an umbrella if it's that bad. Fly's are a bit annoying but I'll take them over not being able to sit outside, play golf or taking the dog out being a military exercise to avoid getting gooseberry fool everywhere.

I get that being uncomfortable at night is an issue, I'd definitely invest in air con if this was the norm.

We won't have a sun but we'll be on the PS400 by then with 3 billion Petaflops (sp?) so nobody will care about the stupid sun.

I don't know what you're saying, you wouldn't give your employees time off work for the heat death of the universe.

Looks like it's going to be cooling down. The barbeque* season is nearly over

I'm sure it'll still be the right weather for Stool Bloke to rev the engine on his VW Campervan.

God I hate being able to go on a nice walk at lunch time and then being able to sit and eat my tea in the garden when I get home.

Heat is now crazed in SE London. Just got home - sweating profusely, obvs - and my living room is 87f / 31c even though I'd left the curtains pulled.

We walk around the 'block' so to speak every day on our lunch break when it's nice weather and we eat outside at home when it's like this most nights.

Looks like another pleasant commute to work is on the cards with not a cloud being in the sky. I've got to walk the dog now too, probably only have to wear shorts and a t-shirt. Awful. :x
