Had to go out and do the front garden / drive. Started looking like a Cambodian jungle.

Went for a glorious sunny walk along the river in Tewkesbury this afternoon with some friends, kicked a ball about with the kids, watched people chilling on boats, and ended the excursion with an amazing cool chocolate milkshake. Lovely stuff.

Wouldn't necessarily want it this hot every day, but damn is it nice when you get to take advantage of it!

The struggle is - officially - REAL. Sweating like a pig at the moment. Just got home and it's 27C in my living room :dread:

Walking along a main road in this weather is the gooseberry fools. The heat from the cars, the noise, the smog, the pollution, the roasting tarmac...

...get home and in a strange coincidence both neighbours further down have got the pneumatic drillers out redoing their gardens. The foreigners doing the work don’t seem to mind the heat at all though. Appear to be from the Middle East so this probably feels like winter.

Feel like a right Southern Ponce desk jockey in comparison.

In this sun I have to wear a hat... but then I sweat like hell. It's a choice of being sunburnt or sweaty and somehow I managed to achieve both endgames this morning :fp:

It's strawberry floatin glorious out there. I love cycling in this heat as the breeze is constantly refreshing and the sun is lightly colouring my ludicrously white skin. I'd have this weather all the time, no doubt about it.

Yeah, I'm very pale and my "tanning" involves getting red, so I prefer to wear high-factor suntan lotion and cover up.

Came out of work and it was cool and a bit cloudy, though the world was becoming a tolerable tempurature again, however the sun has come back out and it is strawberry floating hot again.

Will this torment never end!

I do love that period in the morning during summer between around 7-9am where the sun is beginning to break through, it's warm but there's still that light chill and a breeze, and there's relative peace and quiet.

Carried some shopping home and am sweating profusely. The heat really is too much for me.
