I've considered them in the past, but it would have been pretty pricey to cover the whole window in my living room.

For the vast majority of the year - and even for most summer periods - it's pleasant to get the light / sun, Choc'; it's just when it has been exceptionally hot for a long time that it becomes a pain!

Just been strawberry picking with the family, stunning weather for it.

The sun is still blazing here but we're a few degrees cooler than we were a week ago so it's still in the enjoyable range!

Directly in the sun :dread:

Left the car out earlier, got in and almost got third degree burns from the steering wheel and arm rest.

All things considered though, still enjoying the heat.

Why haven't heat-proof windows been invented yet?

I've invented windows that contain solar panels, just not worked out how to build them yet. I will incorporate heat proofing into the non existent design.

We can beat that wussy Sun.
For starters it has really poor mobility and armour stats and we already have the ship design with the film Sunshine.

It will also anger Fox News as they won't be able to run the standard "War on Christmas and atheists are to blame!!!!!!!!" scare stories.

Okay... it has been too hot for too long. Just got home and I'm totes damp whilst having the energy level of a tired sloth. My living room has once again hit 30c / 86f.

We may need sone motivational messages to try and get us through this.

The perfect storm of conditions conspired against me this morning and resulted in me arriving at work already sweating. :dread:

Firstly it seemed even hotter than usual overnight so I was already clammy when I woke up.

Then I realised that my alarm had failed and for some reason none of the kids had woken up early for once, so I was already late and didn't have time for a shower.

So now I'm rushing around trying to get people ready and taken to school/nursery, rushing and getting hot and bothered when it is already a hot day and you haven't managed to have a shower = not good for the sweat-factor.

And finally it seemed to be one of the hottest mornings for a while so it was already 23c in my car when I set off for work so I was basically a man that is already too hot and has been rushing around and then had to sit for an hour in a car that was hot to start with and is only going to get hotter.

Now I'm sat here in the office where the aircon barely works feeling like Captain Disgustoid. Not the best day so far.

No shower facilities here - and even if we did I haven't got any of my stuff with me.

Fortunately I'm only in work until 2PM today so the end is in sight!
